Johnson hit the lottery if you ask me, that the other fraud coward Anthony Yarde passed on Artur Beterbiev and the same applies for Kovalev! Callum should be grateful because we all know he cant beat Yarde in a eliminator!
They were pushing to fight Buglioni for the British title, but when Johnson beat Buglioni and said he was willing to defend the title against Yarde, Gallagher vetoed it immediately. For some reason, he really doesn't want Yarde to fight Johnson.
Beterbiev vs Johnson is as an intriguing match, and if people knew a bit more about Johnson they would understand why. Trust me, he is a talented and powerful boxer.
He won Gold at the Commomwealth games and was being talked about as a possible future world champion when he first turned pro. But due to injuries and personal problems outside the ring, he has been very inactive, with only 17 fights in 8 years.
I don't think he's going to beat Beterbiev, because I don't think you can cross the gulf between UK domestic level and a beast like Beterbiev in one leap. It has to be done in stages.
But I think he's going to give it a real go. And with punchers, there's always a chance of an upset, so I'm very interested in this fight.Last edited by kafkod; 06-21-2018, 03:56 PM.

Anthony Yarde initially felt he deserved a shot at Frank Buglioni without having to participate in a eliminator because it was the #1. vs. #.2 and even made him an offer -- Not that I believe any of these guys but thats what I got from world boxing news and the dailystar.

Drama Show always has a deck full of jokers, playing his game is like taking candy from a baby. I like to give the little fella the attention that he craves so much.
Its like playing with a fat little brat and pinching his cheeks really hard for misbehaving.

And Frank Warren, who was all for Yarde vs Buglioni, suddenly changed his tune and said that Yarde isn't interested in the British title as soon as Johnson beat Buglioni and Eddie Hearn started calling for a fight between Yarde and Johnson.Last edited by kafkod; 06-21-2018, 05:27 PM.
