Also who did the failed ones choose to face?
I used for all the rankings.

Since Sept 2012 Golovkin has fought 16 opponents.
      (5) Not Ranked in top10 by TBRB. (6 if you count Vanes due to inactivity)
      (3) have come up in weight.
GGG actively sought tougher opponents for every one of these lower ranked ones.
Golovkin was never ranked lower than #2 during this time.
Link in my signature if you'd like to find out more on why these fights fell through.

Since Sept 2012 Canelo has fought 11 opponents.
      (2) Not Ranked in top10 by TBRB. (3 if you count Kirkland due to inactivity)
      (3) have come up in weight.

      ----Fought---------Gennady Golovkin
      ----Fought--------Julio Cesar Chavez Jr
      ----Fought--------Liam Smith
      ----Fought---------Amir Khan

I could not find a single fight for Canelo that fell through. (other than GGG himself)

GGG was and still is avoided by most in his division!

        ^This.

The only names of any consequence on Lil' G's resume are Jacobs and Alvarez - which speaks volumes for a guy pushing *37*.

I almost hope he beats Alvarez so I can have the pleasure of seeing him stripped by the WBC for ducking Charlo...

For the WBA super world he fought Geale
For the WBC Canelo vacated and fled.
For the WBA world Sturm got upgraded to Super World.

Name one so-called champion who dropped their belt and refused to fight Bumlovkin...

                    Eh, no.

From what I saw of him in the Alvarez fight, there are tons of 160lb'ers from the past who would beat Bumlovkin rather easily. Jones, Hopkins, Toney, Nunn, McClellan and I could go on...

And Bumlovkin's trainer is on record openly ducking Charlo...
