So with Josh Taylor likely being in once/if he beat Postol the 140 line up all set then looks like?

I like it. I was talking about Regis vs Josh in a couple years, if this works out how I think it will it could happen next summer.

Or sooner cuz idk how this division gets ranked. I don't even expect Taylor to get a top 4 seed so he'll likely be the last guy picked cuz who the f#ck is gonna wanna fight him vs these other guys. And from there its possible Regis is the #4 seed so as nutty as it could end up being Regis vs Josh COULD happen in the opening round the way I'm looking at this.

EDIT: Well strike that bs above lmfao. Looking at the Trans rankings & Regis & Josh are 1 & 2 of the guys in this thing & Josh with a Postol W could be #1.

Man this is going to be so damn good. This line up has me salivating and jizzing all at once.

Any word on the other participants? I heard Payano and Solis were rumored.

How they don't get the final figured out from the jump is beyond my understanding. I suspect they were late to the party/in a rush with a bunch of sh^t & had to play this first year a lil looser than they will in the future hoping thing would work out.

Josh Taylor is a tricky one if he's going to join the tournament. I read a twit from Michael Benson that he's chasing Ramirez and may not join the tourney but the latest from Benson is he's joining.

People seems to overlook Postol too. He might upset Taylor for all you know.

Got to admit i'm not sure how the seeding is going to be. Relikh is definitely fighting Troyanovsky and Baranchyk against Yigit. That leave Progais, Hooker, Martin and Taylor (if he indeed join)

I posted a twit that Payano maybe joining. Not sure about Solis. Schaefer mention that Donaire look to be joining too but i'm not sure if he can make weight. Then there's also the vacant WBC title fight between Nordine Oubaali and Petch Sor Chitpattana.

Yeah it doesn't look good for the tournament if Gassiev doesn't fight Usyk. First it was Groves-Smith now this.

This 140lb tournament is nowhere near the quality of the BW or SMW/CW of the first year. Only rate Prograis and Taylor from that list.

Chasing Ramirez?!?! Good f#cking luck with that. Ramirez is calling out Broner last I saw. Ramirez is turning into a joke/novelty fighter to me. He's trying to sell tickets not be the best. F#ck that guy from a fan POV, but respect on him getting money.

People seems to overlook Postol too. He might upset Taylor for all you know.
I like Postol, but he's done. Sh^t I picked Postol to beat Bud.... kinda comically now lol.

And at this point he's been out a year cuz Arum is a piece of sh^t & had an option he didn't use on him + Postol has been out another 9mos since his last fight where he got dropped by a low level regional prospect. And the dude is 34. He's past prime & Josh is on some other next level sh^t like Regis seems to be.

I suspect Josh KO's him & I don't expect this to be THAT competitive if at all.

Off the Trans rankings it should be:

                    Top 4 Seeds:
                    Regis (#2)
Josh (#5, although Postol is #3 so a W over him might push Josh above Regis)
                    Kiryl (#7)
                    Hooker (#9)

                    Also Ranked:
                    Troya (#10)

                    Off Boxrec:

                    Top 4 Seeds:

                    Regis (#1)
                    Kiryl (#3)
Josh (#5, although Postol is #2 so a W over him is definitly gonna get him some points & push him above Kiryl & maybe Regis)
                    Hooker (#6)

                    Also Ranked:

                    Troya (#8)
                    Anthony (#10)
                    Ivan (#15)
                    Ryan (#30)

I think its a safe bet Regis & Josh are 1 & 2 seeds however things shake out with Postol, as long as he wins of course.

Kiryl is likely 3. And Hooker 4.

There are 5 top ten guys in this tournament. This is a quality tournament to determine the future of 140.

From a rated fighters POV its 2nd to the CW tournament, but better than the SMW tournament from last year.

I'll hold off on talking about the BW field this year as its not been fully decided although I'd agree thus fair it looks better assuming the names listed are involved.
