A few weeks ago, the obese shill who writes for ESPN penned an article claiming that Canelo Alvarez’s hair follicle test had come back clean, after he had tested postive twice for Clenbuterol.
Of course, mainstream media reports are driven with this agenda to make money off Canelo’s next fight, Dan Rafael included. Rafael, like most media, is bought and paid for by the powers that be. The sad thing is how the boxing public, at least a large part of it, have bought the story hook, line, and sinker.
Think about it..
Gennady Golovkin gets trashed because he went ahead and fought Vanes Martirosyan on May 5th–a date that was set aside for the rematch with Alvarez. Golovkin did nothing wrong in any of this, but has been attacked by a large number of boxing fans and writers. But what about Alvarez? He’s left alone even though he was the one caught.
Let’s take a closer look at some things the media didn’t report.
How could a hair follicle test come back negative?
The origin of how the Clen could have gotten in Alvarez’s body cannot be determined from a test, it just can’t! My big question, if you want to prove your innocence, is why the secrecy on taking the test? Why take the test five weeks after you tested positive? Long-term use of Clen is actually bad for the body. A four-week cycle is the best thing for Clen. So when they say the tests showed no long-term use, it doesn’t matter because anybody that knows what they are doing with Clen will not use it over a long period of time. The biggest point here is this: The mainstream media reported that Clen would stay in the hair for six weeks or more and actually, to quote Mr. Rafael’s article, If that was true, how could he test negative for Clen when he tested positive twice the month before the supposed hair follicle test?
Does that make sense to anyone?
Why is Avarez not enrolled in the WBC VADA testing?
This enrollment is a requirement for anybody that is fighting in a WBC title fight, so how can Alvarez not be enrolled? Here it gets interesting again as the WBC announced in 2015 that
Please note that Alvarez beat Miguel Cotto in November of 2015, one month after testing was to begin by the WBC. But Canelo was not tested by VADA.
Why?
Alvarez will not submit to drug testing until the Golovkin fight is signed
Alvarez hasn’t been tested for PEDs since his temporary suspension was extended to six months by the Nevada State Athletic Commission on April 18. No really, nothing is in place to test a boxer that has been suspended. Are you kidding me? It seems like common sense would dictate that a fighter suspended for performance-enhancing drugs would be tested more, not less, right?
According to Golden Boy Promotions president Eric Gomez, “Alvarez is willing to partake in as many blood and urine tests as necessary as soon as contracts are signed for their middleweight championship rematch. Alvarez wants to reschedule their second fight for September 15, the date the former two-division champion announced last month that he’ll return to the ring.”
So basically this means that Alvarez could be using something to enhance his performance as we speak and can just stop when he realizes the fight is close to being signed. It’s unbelievable that this could be allowed to happen, even in boxing.
Gennady Golovkin doesn’t need Alvarez
Multiple new challenges have popped for Golovkin in the middleweight division over the past year. The Charlos, BJ Saunders, Daniel Jacobs and several young contenders are all making a splash right now. Alvarez may be the biggest money fight for Golovkin, but in my opinion, an old Golovkin has already beaten Canelo. Let’s face it, the only way to beat Alvarez is by knockout.
The WBC and Golden Boy will make sure of that.
Maybe Canelo wants to wait another year
We already know that Canelo waited for the first fight until he knew Golovkin was getting old. So why wouldn’t he fight somebody safe in September and make Golovkin wait until next Cinco De Mayo? The conclusion I draw from everything I have seen from both fighters over the years is that Golovkin is a fighter who has never ducked anybody. He has never been afraid to fight somewhere where he may not be comfortable (see the Brook fight in England), and he has always given the fans their money’s worth. Alvarez is a man that has been allowed to do whatever was needed to win. He has taken the path of least resistance over the last few years, fighting Liam Smith, Amir Kahn, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and don’t forget James Kirkland, who hadn’t fought in 18 months.
I don’t remember anybody complaining about the Canelo-Kirkland fight like people complained about Golovkin-Martirosyan. Alvarez is nothing more than a spoiled athlete trying to make a buck off the suckers that buy into his hype.
On the other hand, Golovkin came up the hard way. He always gives his all and wants to satisfy the boxing fans.
Golovkin is the fighter that the masses should universally love, not the diva from Mexico.
