Canelo and the WBC are a Disgrace to Boxing!

A few weeks ago, the obese shill who writes for ESPN penned an article claiming that Canelo Alvarez’s hair follicle test had come back clean, after he had tested postive twice for Clenbuterol.

Of course, mainstream media reports are driven with this agenda to make money off Canelo’s next fight, Dan Rafael included. Rafael, like most media, is bought and paid for by the powers that be. The sad thing is how the boxing public, at least a large part of it, have bought the story hook, line, and sinker.

    Think about it..
Gennady Golovkin gets trashed because he went ahead and fought Vanes Martirosyan on May 5th–a date that was set aside for the rematch with Alvarez. Golovkin did nothing wrong in any of this, but has been attacked by a large number of boxing fans and writers. But what about Alvarez? He’s left alone even though he was the one caught.
Let’s take a closer look at some things the media didn’t report.

How could a hair follicle test come back negative?
The origin of how the Clen could have gotten in Alvarez’s body cannot be determined from a test, it just can’t! My big question, if you want to prove your innocence, is why the secrecy on taking the test? Why take the test five weeks after you tested positive? Long-term use of Clen is actually bad for the body. A four-week cycle is the best thing for Clen. So when they say the tests showed no long-term use, it doesn’t matter because anybody that knows what they are doing with Clen will not use it over a long period of time. The biggest point here is this: The mainstream media reported that Clen would stay in the hair for six weeks or more and actually, to quote Mr. Rafael’s article, If that was true, how could he test negative for Clen when he tested positive twice the month before the supposed hair follicle test?
Does that make sense to anyone?

Why is Avarez not enrolled in the WBC VADA testing?
This enrollment is a requirement for anybody that is fighting in a WBC title fight, so how can Alvarez not be enrolled? Here it gets interesting again as the WBC announced in 2015 that
Please note that Alvarez beat Miguel Cotto in November of 2015, one month after testing was to begin by the WBC. But Canelo was not tested by VADA.
    Why?

Alvarez will not submit to drug testing until the Golovkin fight is signed
Alvarez hasn’t been tested for PEDs since his temporary suspension was extended to six months by the Nevada State Athletic Commission on April 18. No really, nothing is in place to test a boxer that has been suspended. Are you kidding me? It seems like common sense would dictate that a fighter suspended for performance-enhancing drugs would be tested more, not less, right?
According to Golden Boy Promotions president Eric Gomez, “Alvarez is willing to partake in as many blood and urine tests as necessary as soon as contracts are signed for their middleweight championship rematch. Alvarez wants to reschedule their second fight for September 15, the date the former two-division champion announced last month that he’ll return to the ring.”
So basically this means that Alvarez could be using something to enhance his performance as we speak and can just stop when he realizes the fight is close to being signed. It’s unbelievable that this could be allowed to happen, even in boxing.

    Gennady Golovkin doesn’t need Alvarez
Multiple new challenges have popped for Golovkin in the middleweight division over the past year. The Charlos, BJ Saunders, Daniel Jacobs and several young contenders are all making a splash right now. Alvarez may be the biggest money fight for Golovkin, but in my opinion, an old Golovkin has already beaten Canelo. Let’s face it, the only way to beat Alvarez is by knockout.
The WBC and Golden Boy will make sure of that.

Maybe Canelo wants to wait another year
We already know that Canelo waited for the first fight until he knew Golovkin was getting old. So why wouldn’t he fight somebody safe in September and make Golovkin wait until next Cinco De Mayo? The conclusion I draw from everything I have seen from both fighters over the years is that Golovkin is a fighter who has never ducked anybody. He has never been afraid to fight somewhere where he may not be comfortable (see the Brook fight in England), and he has always given the fans their money’s worth. Alvarez is a man that has been allowed to do whatever was needed to win. He has taken the path of least resistance over the last few years, fighting Liam Smith, Amir Kahn, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and don’t forget James Kirkland, who hadn’t fought in 18 months.

I don’t remember anybody complaining about the Canelo-Kirkland fight like people complained about Golovkin-Martirosyan. Alvarez is nothing more than a spoiled athlete trying to make a buck off the suckers that buy into his hype.
On the other hand, Golovkin came up the hard way. He always gives his all and wants to satisfy the boxing fans.
Golovkin is the fighter that the masses should universally love, not the diva from Mexico.

the whole affair has been a huge black eye for boxing and has made the sport look even more corrupt then people already knew it was. the sanctioning bodies acting as canelos cheerleaders was sickening, but not half as sickening as the 6 month slap on the wrist.

This is why boxing will never be taken seriously.

Good article, sadly I doubt we will get the answer to the hard questions being asked.
Boxing doesn't have an abundance of PPV stars like AJ and Canelo so they will inevitable do all that they can to shield them from the criticism of steroid use going their way.

I'm really not bothered about Canelo GGG happening again, I want GGG to go back to three fights in a year and he only stopped doing that until Canelo's name came into the mix.
Three fights in a year is the right thing for GGG to do Charlo, Deryvechenko, Saunders, Murata, Jacobs there is life in the division and it doesn't need Canelo to survive.

Why should boxing be taken seriously when you have fans defending canelo and getting mad a a dude who fought at every turn? No reason to give a damn about fairness of play if the fans don’t

All the 6 month ban does is give him another reason not to submit to testing.

lmao here's the answer to why clenelo hasn't enrolled yet. (if red fox saying "it's expensive" wasn't bad enough)

That said, Canelo is under the spotlight of su****ion and it's plain ****** for him not to. I'd even go so far as to say su****ious because he has a point to prove, but after the hair test came back clean he essentially said, "I'm clean, now GTFO." There's still that lingering su****ion though and he's not acting like a guy who prides himself on being a clean athlete.

You're missing the most obvious reason. Go get a quote for comprehensive year-round testing and tell me what the bill comes to. Most fighters don't do 365 testing for this very reason.
Don't give me the "he has money" excuse either. Just because one has money doesn't mean they like to bleed cash. There have been a lot of high-profile fights in the past where neither guy did testing because they didn't want to pay for it.

Like I told Maxi though, I think it's foolish for Canelo not to do frequent VADA for the next few months to clear his public image. It's absolutely worth the investment in that regard, IMO.

What difference does it make if he enrolls today then the fight is signed on Monday or if GGG signs today and Vada testing starts monday. GGG can negotiate the start time in the contract. WBC has literally nothing to do with this. Canelo didn't fight for their belt last time nor was he ranked by them. Actually the highest ranking canelo had by any of the belt orgs was the WBO which GGG doesn't have. The belt orgs didn't enforce canelo/GGG last Sept and all the orgs made exceptions or broke their own rules to allow it and had nothing to do with the drug testing last fight or may. This is meaningless especially since they are admitting that as soon as the fight is signed which will include VADA they will just add him back to the rankings mysteriously just like they did after the first fight.
                there's another answer lol

All evidence points to meat contamination. I know some people would rather cook up conspiracy theories instead of accepting it. Mostly Golovkin fans who haven't wanted the rematch at all, they know Golovkin will likely lose to the superior boxer that can change it up unlike Golovkin.
