Comments Thread For: Hughie Fury's Coach: We Have No Interest in Fighting Joe Joyce

Olympic silver medal winner Joe Joyce (4-0, 4 KOs) is looking to secure the biggest fights possible in the near future. Last Saturday night at the O2 Arena in London, Joyce demolished Lenroy Thomas in two rounds to capture the Commonwealth heavyweight title. Now Joyce is willing to fight anyone and everyone in his next fight - and he's already called out Derick Chisora and even Jarrell Miller.

hughie does hold the ducking record he has also ducked AJ and Wilder. He reallty is at the point where he needs to take chance.

Whatever you think of Whyte and Joyce as boxers they will fight anyone which is refreshing.

Quack. The fight would suck anyway, it would look a lot like Rocky trying to catch a chicken.

Bit pointless to fight for a British title then to be fair.

Not really, he'd get further up the rankings with a British title win against ***ton than a fight with Joyce.... he'll likely go for the European after or a ranked opponent.

I can understand why they wouldn't fight Joyce, there's nothing in it ranking wise and it doesn't get him nearer to world level again.

I can't find Hughie in the top 15 of any org, he needs to make the climb and the best way to do that is with titles.

Commonwealth isn't a big title, like I said Hughie will go for the EBU after the British, which is standard when trying to get to world.... the commonwealth would be ANOTHER backward step.

Aye, I agree. Agit Kabayel is a winnable, and obviously more attractive, fight.
