    It's a star, not a superstar.

"Superstar" to me means most everyone has heard of you enough times that most people know who you are and can attach your name to whatever it is you do even if they don't follow you or your profession. I don't think anyone can make that claim about Wilder with sincerity.

Nah. I dont know anyone that aint boxing fans that know him unfortunately. I dont think, mayweather was a superstar either. He was only really known to fight fans , be it boxing or mma. I think pac was huge star around the world but not a superstar that transcended sport. Ppl,get carried away with all that. Tyson is a superstar, meaning kids and grannys know, who he is and what he did even if they have never even seen a boxing glove in their lives. Ali of course same way. They say dempsey was the same. Sugar ray leonard was a star but nothing at all like the three SUPER stars i mentioned. As far as social media, dont ryan garcia have more following than wilder? Anyway. When we truly get a superstar, you wont even have to wonder. Sure you get huge hype companies selling canelo's of the world as huge stars but those kinda guys come and go like cotto lol

Yeah pretty much. Maybe the truth is hard for ppl on here to read on here. I can see that. Go to a shopping center today and stand by the door and ask a hundred random ppl, men, women, children of all races who floyd mayweather is and who tyson is. Get back to me on that lol

A guy like jr Smith is far more known in the us and he would never be called a superstar

He's on one of those scripted reality shows "Wags of Atlanta". A bunch of attention seeking women who are dating athletes.
