This is one reason I am not a big Wilder fan. He is such an arrogant bragger and so disrespectful to the best heavyweights of today and great heavyweight champions of the past as well. He claims to be the best heavyweight the world has ever seen. I don't believe that. I don't believe Molina could last 9 rounds and actually stagger the best heavyweight this world has ever seen. I think a prime Tyson would KO Wilder in 6 rounds or less.

Mike Tyson was Respectful. Wilder is Not.

Tyson could be respectful but then he could turn on a dime, not helped by his prison sentence. Wilder I'm not sure about. I think he is just annoyed he isn't more loved.

Ignorant thread. Tyson started out humble and turned into a mega douche. Wilder has been humble for years and no one has payed attention. Now, he markets himself and these bytch boys are waving their hands in the air, screaming about how disrespectful he is. Don't be so selective in your outrage.

Post fight interview after beating Frank Bruno in 1989:
"How dare these people challenge me with their primitive skills? They are just as good as dead."

Tyson who's often described as a bully and menacing was a humble and paid respect to past fighters.
Once he was asked by Merchant whether past fighters would perform as he would (he put on a mediocre performance) and replied "yes, Jack Dempsey when he fought..." and basically shut up Merchant. He was a student of history and respected past fighters.
Similarly, Ali wouldn't say he would beat Marciano when he was asked in a BBC interview, "Rocky was a devestating puncher so he'd hurt you on the arms, he didn't have to catch me flush...he hurt you with anything, shoulders arms.."
no one cares to mention how tyson felt insulted when matched against others and their ''primitive'' skills.
and ill be damned if ali didnt shlt on every guy before he fought them.
nothing wrong with being confident. why should a guy say another guy, who they will never be able to fight, will beat their ass ?!?!?!

I'm glad that you pointed out the man who literally nicknamed himself "The Greatest" early in his career is so much more humble than Wilder.
