I can't believe I picked this guy over Andre Ward in both those fights. Just so sad on my part.

Weird rant by Kovalev here seeming to imply that it was not Ward, but his team and mind games were to blame for the loss.
I didn't like the way the second bout transpired with the borderline shots, but it did make me question whether Kovalev will be the last man standing after the dust settles in the 175 division. I think rather it will be one of the fresher guys such as Bivol or Gvozdyk.

For ****’s sake the boxing media is losing their minds. I saw the interview where he said that and it’s because the media keeps on asking him the damn questions about Ward. Kovalev is not the one bringing up Ward, and he didn’t even put any emphasis on it. He was asked, and he said when he fought Ward, he also had to fight the referee, judges and corruption. And then moved on to other questions. He wasn’t even emtional.

But the Boxing media is always the ones asking him these questions and then making BREAKING NEWS! type articles about it...

then, imho, his reply should be ''look guys, its done and over with. im not discussing ward again. im past that and you guys should join me.''
