    jacobs was his first true step up in competition and not surprisingly thats when all the talk about him gettin old and slipping took off. what a coincidence lol. win or lose vs canelo its obvious he has unfinished business with jacobs. billy hoe is too busy on his tour of beating on former GGG knockout victims (monroe, lemeiux, murray) whos next? rubio maybe. FOH.

    all the pressure that was applied on ward should be applied on ggg. period. ward delivered. floyd always delivered when pressured by fans for a rematch. even though alot of ppl said the maidana rematch was pointless since he clearly won and to give somebody else a shot he decided to run it back to silence all the chirping. thats what a REAL champ does.

    i like GGG but i see too many hardcore apologists trying to steer him away from jacobs saying there was no controversy. nonsense.

    "but he's fighting canelo again" doesn't matter. that doesnt erase the facts. win or lose vs nelo he should immediately run it back with danny. if you disagree youre a ducker supporter and chances are you weren't so lenient with andre ward.

    If he beat Jacobs again in the rematch does it really improve his CV? People play Jacobs down enough on this site as it is. It was a boring fight anyway.

      The Majority didnt feel that Ward did enough to win that fight. The Majority thought Kov did enough to win that fight

      GGG and Kovalev were the champions.

          No not really...the overall consensus was that Ward didnt do enough to win. I'd estimate that around 70% of ring observers had Kovalev winning...that is not the case with Jacobs. The consensus in that fight is that Golovkin won. Just look at your own post in the op. Ward and Jacobs were both Knocked down and the majority thought that they lost.

          So the situation is actually reverse and not the same at all

              Important difference between GGG vs Jacobs and Kovalev vs Ward situations:

              Kovalev vs Ward had a rematch clause which Kovalev applied after Ward got the decision. Ward then started talking about retiring instead of giving Kovalev the rematch he was entitled to.

              There was no rematch clause for GGG vs Jacobs, and Jacobs didn't even ask for a rematch after the fight.

              Whatever anybody thinks about who won or should have won those fights, you can't just ignore the fact that one had a rematch clause which was exercised by the loser, and the other didn't.

                  He doesn't owe him anything, but I'd like to see a rematch.

                  But no, Golovkin will not give up the Canelo rematch or a potential 3rd fight to rematch Jacobs. Don't be a brainless turd.
