But Wilder hasn't done or proven enough for me to say he could beat prime Tyson. And in the skills department I don't think he matches up.
What skills exactly did Tyson have? He was good at bobbing and weaving but carried power which he needed to be up close to land. Has he faced anyone with the right hand of Wilder? No. Wilder is almost a foot taller and almost 10 inches longer. How does he get to him exactly? I have watched a lot of Tyson fights - he won by intimidation. More hype than substance.

First of all, it would be a very good guess to say you were under the age of 16 in 1985 just like the other no brainier s who say similar.
Second, it’s a fact that the whole division at the time we’re afraid to face him.....it was not an assumption because the top heavyweights at the same would actually say so and nobody believed there was any shame in doing so.
Mike Tyson smashed through boxing abilities of everyone of any size or power. The man himself is only man to beat him.
Watch the Douglas fight and set your watch, Tyson had Douglas out.
Tyson was 24 years when Buster beat him - that is not old. Indiscipline is not an excuse for his losses. He was always lacking discipline. He said that in many interviews. Tyson did not win because of boxing abilities - he won because of his power and intimidation. Enough with the excuses.

Tyson was a boxer puncher, i'm not saying he was the most skilled around but he understood boxing very, very well.

Wilder is just terrible, horrible technique and just relies on his ridiculous levers and windmills away.

There is no comparison between guys like Tyson, Lewis, Holyfield with Wilder...its insulting to even try and make one.

People saying what skills did Tyson have, seriously?! He had power, perfected the peek a boo style but what people often overlook is that he was able to outjab people who were much taller with a longer reach
          He wasn't just a powerhouse

Tyson was more technical - no dispute. Wilder is not as technical but please enough with the exaggeration on his "bad" technique. Wilder has a great jab and a great right hand. He has an improved left hook too. Now, he is clumsy sometimes, moves backward in a straight line (AJ does the same too) sometimes and careless when he thinks he has an opponent hurt. But his technique is not as bad as the pathetic crap I hear explained here about him.

I also watched the Tyson-Douglas fight again. Tyson was getting tagged with right hands by Douglas from the 1st round which made him gun-shy. Wilder would not have had to tag Tyson that number of times to put his lights out. Facts!

Wrong, you should always strive on being better than anyone who has ever done it before. But let the records show from all sports that we are bigger faster and stronger this day and age with all the study on human body to make us that way. 30 years ago a 4.8 on a 40 was fast that's a linemen now in football. And just look at every record slowly getting destroyed.

I’ve always said Tyson’s record was overrated but it still ****s all over wilders. Stiverne is his best win who’s best win is arreola lmfao. You can throw this “number 2 hw in the world?around all you want but everyone knows he’s trash.

Tyson would lose they didn't have the same type of training for all the sports back then. We are becoming better at everything. It's crazy what people are accomplishing.

Tyson would kick his ass now, let alone in 1986.

Oh dear me. What are you even doing here?

The comment was so ridiculous that Lennox felt he had to call it out. Now you’re backing it up.

                      Listen to Lennox. YDKSAB.
