That's less than 2 months. He would have gone from training for his last fight to fighting and then jumping right back into training for a more dangerous opponent. If he feels like he didn't have enough time then I think he deserves the benefit of the doubt. He's been inactive for most of his career and people expect him to move so quickly in a new division. Come on.

Now Sergei D's. team wants to make the fight for the early part of next year. Beating Sergei D. makes Andrade the mandatory for the winner of GGG vs. Canelo. If Andrade goes in another direction then we know his true colors. But for now I think people should get off his back. He's done plenty throughout his career to justify criticism. I think people are just reflexively crapping on him in this case because of his history and not because of the actual circumstances.

12 rounds against a corpse is still 12 rounds after a few months of training. To jump right back into training for a fight in early December in a new division against a stronger and much more aggressive opponent is expecting a lot from a guy as inactive as Andrade has been. I get that Andrade hasn't really done much to justify anyone giving him the benefit of the doubt but I don't really blame him for making this decision to turn down the fight. Now, there is absolutely no reason not to make the fight the early part of next year if Sergei D's team wants it and if Andrade goes in another direction I will be the first to ***** on him. But right now I think people need to chill.

Thats what great fighters do,in this sport your supposed to sacrifice & take risks to be great & so far Andrade has wasted his early yrs he could've been gaining valuable experience & recognition win or lose.

I've given him benefit of the doubt before & im done doing so anymore.

I wonder what Andrade has to say. And if he comes back with a sketchy response then I can call it. Only thing is the Fox fight was his first fight getting use to 160. Does Andrade have a better opponent lined up for more money or what? I want to hear his side.

especially Matthysse, you leave Haymon for that tubby Argentinean who can't translate worth crap an
who has put you thru the ringer for peanuts!

I mean who allows you to go from a brutal war against Provodnikov and straight to a title shot within 4 months against a unheralded fighter who matches up badly against you!?

Now he's got you fighting another unheralded possibly dangerous opponent for peanuts for a fake title! Smh

Andrade has a long history of doing this. Ask Lara, Charlo, and Culcay. At least he finally fought Culcay once he realized Culcay wasn't any good. Talk, talk, talk, and then refuse to fight. This isn't news, this is what Andrade does.

If Andrade don't want it then let him fight Charlo instead of that Hugo boss ***!

Or let Dev fight Charlo, tired of the Charlo's taking on prospects, journeyman or past prime champs!

It's time for the best to fight the best!

                Canelo vs GGG 2

                Lemule vs Saunders

                Jacobs vs Murata

                Andrade vs Charlo

                Dev vs someone

Andrade has no intention to take any real challenge.

When was the last time one of the fighters we considered great fought 2x in such a short period of time. Once a fighter becomes great we're lucky if they fight every 6 months.

Would be a great fight and opportunity for both, but let's be real Andrade fought about a month ago and has probably took a few weeks off after his last fight so kind of short notice.
