Size matters. Rigo has no chance.

Spot on!!!!!!!. Size matters.Boxing fans wanna be acting like Rigo has a chance. He had been dropped numerous times by guys in his weight class. The fight is for Loma for the taken, only an injury can tip the fight in Rigo's favour.

Yes but the japanese guy a****sa and donaire came in on fight night over 140 i believe and will outweigh lomachenko, there was 1 fighter who dropped him when their weight was similar on fight night if i remember correct and that was Cordoba, besides Rigo doesn't have a fighting style to be too affected by weight bullying, he's too slick, he's just pivot and move away

tommy hearns and ray leonard fought at the absolute height of their powers. hearns was undefeated, and leonard had only lost once to the greatest LW ever and a damn good WW, roberto duran, when he was young. avenged the defeat. both guys went on to have all time great careers.

and you want to call an old rigondeaux who has not done much in boxing historically other than beat donaire and being a great amateur vs another great amateur but relative nobody in historic boxing terms the best fight ever?

i like roy and his commentary is almost always good enough to justify his bogus opinions or statements, but this is just too much. sounds like an HBO promo.

great fight? sure! slept on? yeah!

best fight ever? f#ck no. ray leonard doesn't get dropped twice by a japanese club fighter who had only once fought outside of the same venue.

Reminds me of Sadler vs Pep. Not in styles so much but the differences in size.
Loma is a natural at 130ish and Rigo at 120ish, their close but that little bit of size plays out much more in the lighter divisions.

Max Kellerman is becoming the WORST!!! He *****ed all night long about Gamboa teying to hold and yet LOVES it when Ward and Kovalov did it???

That HBO team last week SUKED! Everyone I knew turned down the volume because how BIASED they were sounding. *** even started screaming that one hit was a low blow and replays showed it wasnt in the Barrera fight.

Kovalov fight he said Kovalovs right eye was swollen when the other dudes face was busted up??? He kept getting corrected lol. He looked drunk.

So if this is a very close fight and Loma wins by decision should we put Rig. Higher then Lomachenko on P4P lists??? I mean pound 4 pound that tells me Rig. Is better??? He's moving up 2 weight clases? So if they were the same size/weight then Rig. Is better???

                Thoughts??

Most skill in the ring since Mayweather-Pacquiao

This is the one I'm the most hype for to close out the year.
BJS vs. Lemieux is going to be really fun- but nothing compares to the skill level of these 2 guys.

I hope Rigo's weight jump doesn't throw him off too much, he has a bigger hill the climb here.

I understand the point you're making but I think you're discounting how green Tommy (and his corner) was at that point in his career (it's been talked about a lot by Manny Steward). Ray Leonard was probably the best version of himself that night. But Tommy was still learning and developing.

An aged Rigo is a valid point to make here though. (And probably a decisive point against Roy's claim) But I think Roy is pointing out the skill set and IQ combination on this one is up there with some of the best ever. I think you could agree on that.

It's not the best ever to your point though.

*Sweet Pea v. De La Hoya was a good one on paper too. Ali v. Frazier I on paper was tremendous. I'm sure there are other gold medalists matchups that I missed.
