The main outfit behind all this is Mauricio Süleyman and his pride for his father’s legacy. All of the Mexico meets have Süleyman in every picture. It’s to support the WBC at all costs.

There’s a twist however, if Nelo continues to do great things in boxing his image will only get stronger and other Mexican legends might defend him, particularly with what’s happening with the WBC and how they exploit fighters to sell the WBC.

It’s all a business, and technically with the WBC being the belt of Mexican pride it’s status is a monopoly.

Mexicans are also known to be highly racist like Puerto Ricans, against Blacks. The thought of a Mexican trashing the WBC belt being a boxing star reminds Süleyman Jr. what his father went through when Bowe trashed it and called them crooks.
