Then why did they sell out when they fought if there was no interest? Fact is, boxing isn't just here in the U.S., other countries can adapt and improve their boxing programs.

vitali was irrelevant and cleaned up teh scraps. wlad was a downright cheater who broke the rules constantly and gave boxing a black eye. he was a guy who kept getting knocked out so he started holdign his opponents anytime they got close. a fraud pure and simple. only differnce between wlad and ward is that ward started holding before he could lose

I can't blame the Klitschko brothers entirely. I always believe somebody should have stepped up and beat them. Also there was a lack of talent in that division as well. They just did what they had to do to win. It's just like people complain about running up the score or celebrating too much in football, if you don't want it to happen stop them!! Lol they were boring to watch though

that analogy is for teams playing fair and square. cant really use it when one team is cheating. its like one team playing with 12 men and the other 11. you cant just say if you dont like it stop them!!! its inherently unfair and a huge advantage. its up toe the officials to stop them and they didnt because of corruption. expecting the fighter to overcome those odds is too big of an ask.

how in the hell can close relatives fight each other, (forget about blood brothers) ?!?!?!?

them not fighting each other meant zilch for the health of the div. if a person was good enough, they would have beaten them.

              Yep.. that was ghastly!

The only Wlad fights I've really enjoyed were his last one with Joshua (I was happily surprised) and, of course, the ones he was getting KOed by Brewster or Sanders.

Well he's right and what's overlooked is the way the Germans tried to pull dirty stuff like the soft ring vs Tyson Fury and not allowing Chisoras ring music (theme from a harmless UK sitcom) .
These humourless bore-atrons pulled a lot of **** with the Klits under the facade of politeness.

Wlad was an athlete not a fighter, he redeemed himself vs Joshua but still, very boring guy. Good riddance.

No what "killed the division" was that the american fans got sick of seeing their best fighters get pummelled and laid out by K2

The division was doing just fine in Europe and the brothers klitschko were making a fortune just like AJ is now.

When AJ and Wilder face off and AJ bludgeons Wilder, the "revived interest" in the US will go again, because Americans only get behind people who are already at the top.

IF by some miracle wilder did beat AJ he would become a huge megastar of epic proportions as all americans would suddenly jump on his bandwagon so they could chant USA! USA! USA!

                      We all know this.
