Lost every big fight except against 2 HOFers. Whatever man You sound ******. Let's not act like his resume isn't filled with World Champion caliber scalps

Actually yeah he has earned the right

He's a first ballot ,fought everyone he needed been in countless big PPV fights been in many memorable fights and suffered his first 2 defeats under highly questionable circumstances

He's achieved everything in the sport and can fight whoever the f.uck he wants in his final fight. If he wants to ride off into the sunset fighting Ali so be it. as long as it isn't PPV I'll watch . There's about 20 other 140-154 fighters I'd rather see Cotto fight before Ali but who cares really the only names GB could offer is Lemieux , Ali and maybe Matthysse so it is what it is

I rather see Lucas vs Ali.
Ali lost to Vargas who lost to Pacman who lost to Horn.

I knew lemieux wouldn’t happen but I at least expected him to fight Garcia. Very underwhelming but Cottos opposition the past few years, sans canelo, has been underwhelming. Oh well.

Cotto is obviously looking to cash out against a B-side opponent that won't ask for too much.

But this choice of foe likely won't generate a lot of money. Lemieux on PPV would have been better and a more dignified way to go out.

Hell, even a fight with Amir Khan would have been more attractive.

So much for talking about fighting a legit middleweight and then picking a mediocre welterweight.

excellent choice for cotto for his farewell fight. a lot better than choosing the likes of berto or mcgregor!
