    Linares just fought last night.
It will take another six months before he's back in the ring.
    Mikey fought 2 months ago.
So you're one of those fans who aren't bothered by the inactivity going on in the sport. Okay.
Doe, Garcia is hungry. He wants to fight as often as it allows him to.

Mikey is a big name. Crawford is dodging Garcia.
So you think Crawford is dodging Mikey Garcia for an easier fight with Thurman or Spence.

I respect your point of view I just respectfully disagree with it.

Not sure i'd want to see him go too far up in weight, too fast.
It's a good fight and would be real nice to see see. But if Crawford is going up to WW, there's more intriguing fights there IMO. Providing they can be made.

First of all Mikey Garcia is talented but he doesn't really like fighting and said so on many occasions. Please stop making it sound as if Mikey is some caged animal that loves fighting because he doesn't. Mikey is a great talent but he didn't come back to be great or prove anything, he came back for the money and that's his focus. Mikey is looking for few big paydays and then get out.
One of those high reward fights might be a Cotto because he's older and slower but make no mistake, Crawford is not on Mikey's list and never will be.

To your other question, I don't think Mikey cares if fans think he's not fighting enough, he's fighting Jorge Linares because he knows he can beat him and get paid .

its easier for Crawford to fight Mikey now because none of them is engaged with a fight. so the fight can be made.

Lets look at the time line:

1 Crawford fought the very best in his division. No question there. At the same time here was talk of Mikey moving up to 140 for a fight but instead decided to stay at 135, possibly fight Jorge Linares. Easy to verify, no question that's the way it went down.

2 After Indongo, nobody was left for Crawford at 140 so he moved up to a significantly more dangerous division. I Don't think anyone can dispute the WW division is packed with much more dangerous fighters. Next Crawford called out the very best in the 147lb division starting with the king pin Keith Thurman and said he's willing to fight Spence. Another easily verifiable fact, it's all there in his interview on national TV.

3 A few days ago Mikey Garcia changes his mind, doesn't need to stay at 135 anymore and is now willing to move up to 154 for Cotto. In conversation Garcia mentions Crawford as a possible future opponent. Again, this is all very easily verifiable, it was all over the news.

The time line is the time line, that's the way it went down.

That said, I don't understand what you are implying with your comment?

I can only assume by the nature of your post that you seem to think Mikey Garcia is a tougher fight at 147 then Thurman, Spence or even Danny Garcia.

Mikey beat a drained down, hollow Adrian Broner who was not the best at 135, 140, 147 or any other weight class.
Thanks for the reasoned response. I get what you're saying about the potential fights at 147, and don't disagree as Crawford is the guy moving up in those fights.

However, until just a couple of weeks ago at least, Crawford was OK with 140 so why not fight Garcia at that weight before going to 147? There will be similar money for what should, according to some, be an easier fight. Garcia would be moving up, Crawford is (still) the recognised unified champ at that weight, wht say GArcia has to go to 147? I'm not calling it a "duck" or a "b*t*h move" but don't quite understand why Crawford is saying it except to wring every possible advantage which suggests there's a little bit of concern about Garcia.

Btw I'd take Crawford to beat Garcia at 140!

I agree with your perspective on Garcia and his motives.

Watch him in the corner in the Salido fight, he was looking for a way out and played the rules to get that win!

Crawford has never fought above 140,this is the weight he moved up to, proves what a legitimate threat Garcia is that Crawford makes him move to 47,Crawford is fantastic and entertaining, I'm a little surprised, but I get it as it would give him another slight edge as he has filled in completely as a jr. Welter. Garcia is by far the biggest threat at 40,a little disappointed the 2 arent meeting at 40

Not the best I said he is best at, meaning his limit. Not to pass the 140 mark cuz them boys at 147 would chew Mickey up, at least the top guys at 147.
