I was thinking earlier today if you wanted to watch the ugliest fight ever him and Hopkins would have been something.

While I think both guys are athletic they aren't super athletes. I think that style was part of what they used to compensate for that deficiency. That isn't a slam necessarily as you need to work to your strengths and compensate for your deficiencies.

I've been told that we can't associate bigotry when anyone is critical of a fighter, it never has anything to do with that . . . . oh wait that only applies to Golovkin not Ward. My bad.

In all seriousness there are guys who dislike Ward because he's black. There are also guys who dislike him and are critical for other reasons not related to race.

*** andre ward. He is the most boring fighter of all time in my eyes and i just glad he retired.

Boring and dirty. That is what i will remember about Ward. 10 years from now nobody will talk about this guy.

I don't have any issue with people who have differing opinions and I enjoy debates on sports. I'm not going to dumb myself down and ignore the obvious though.
I totally agree but it isn't a one way street.

If it took you til today to see Ward got away with fouls, head butts and low blows, I think a trip to an eye doctor wouldn't be wasted.

No one is denying that Ward has good boxing skills.
What they are denying is that he exclusively depends on them to win.
If indeed a boxer has great boxing skills then he shouldn't need to use dirty tactics to supplement them. That's like saying that a guy is a great chess player but has to resort to cheating. It doesn't add up.

A fight between Ward ad Hopkins would result in Ward bludgeoning Hopkins into submission via elbows, rabbit punches and head-butts and low blows. Ward has far more experience in hiding his fouls than Hopkins does berceuse Hopkins didn't use them as extensively as Ward did. So a contest of fouls is to Ward's advantage.

I always respected Floyd's attitude, he served as a good example for all. I haven't even seen him doing some accidental foul.
