    Who'd u guys have winning the Canelo/Lara fight ?
I had canelo winning 7-5. Lara was out boxing him. But canelo pushed the pace. I would have had Lara winning but Lara was not active enough. That is way I see last night. Canelo got hit 200times. So his defense was not a major factor in scoring as Lara's defense was. Canelo was only active for maybe 30-60sec in his best rounds. He landed the cleaner punches. But not enough. Canelo land 3-4 flush shot but then GGG landed 10 shots and controls the ring. Bottomline for me Canelo deserved to lose for the same reasons I think Lara lost. But to be fair Lara had better defense in thier fight than canelo show against GGG

Gets hit way too easy and is slow as phuk. GGG was supposed to be the bigger puncher yet look at his face after the fight. News flash GGG ain't what you hyped him up to be and now that he ain't fighting tomato cans no more he is exposed. Its not age je just was blowing out nobodies.

Never came close to hurting canelo, missed badly all night, came forward but it was mostly ineffective pressure and all the clean hard shots were landed by canelo not the so called monster GGG.
yep, exposed but 99 percent of the media had him winning against a fighter who many have right near the top of the pound for pound list, some even as number 1. God damn it, if only golovkin wasnt a hypejob!!!

And u already know how to hug & hold, ur always an offensive fighter showing to be defensive the whole time on this game. How in this world will u win the game, and that 118-110 scoring is a shame for boxing. Golovkin clearly won the game by at least 8-4 advantage.
First off, it's called hit and not get hit. It isn't called rock em sock em robots. Second, GGG missed a he!!uva lot of those punches, and the vast majority of his connects were not solid ones. You are right about Adelaide Byrd's scorecard though.

          knowledgeable observers said that

          Jacobs/Canelo proved it

yet they were labeled as cowards, and we were labeled as haters

          just saying

I don't remember "everyone" expecting Canelo to "school" GGG. Even Canelo's camp was saying it was going to be a very tough fight. and insults and ******ities aside, the majority of the posters on this site and other sites were expecting GGG to win.

Golovkin outsmarted and controlled(ring generalship) the guy all night yet canelo is the better boxer?

Your confusing boxing skills with speed, athleticism and flashiness. He's a decent counter-puncher, but he simply wasnt smarter or if we are talking strictly on the outboxing style I.e. fighting from outside and not technical skill, that to, golovkin is better at.

This isnt to say the fight wasnt close.
Canelo's shoulder roll was excellent! GGG couldn't work effectively (as he used to), even when Canelo was against the ropes. GGG was thinking more than fighting, which I've never seen before, and GGG was visibly gassed! It's probably one of those things where Canelo did much better than I expected, so it made GGG look bad. GGG is still good, he's just not great!

That's just it... fans need to rewatch it with no sound. Watch how many not-solid and flat-out missed punches GGG throws. It was that way all night. Canelo should be praised for his excellent defense. I thought GGG won by a point, but it certainly was a competitive fight. Not the blowout GGG win many are saying it was.

I respect your opinion. I tend to not pay Too much mind to compu-box stats . I thought Lara literally ran and Canelo out landed him but .... I saw Canelo landing Good body punches early and late in the fight and GGG was swinging and missing . Golovkin did get his best work in the mid rounds But wasn't he this Monster that Canelo wouldn't fight because he'd get knocked out in less than 10 ? Olympic boxer who mastered Cutting Off the Ring .
I don't think Canelo won the fight but this threads about GGG being a Supposed Monster .

I thought all along that Canelo's only real chance was as you point out to make GGG hesitant and also to make him miss his big shots. Both GGG and Canelo are "fearless fighters" and deserve to take a bow after this tough fight.
