If it's a FOTY type of deal between these two, then a rematch could be even better for all involved.

But we need a conclusive winner here.

    No bullshit.

    No f

So true and that's what I'm hoping for. A decision with BS scoring for Canelo will be unacceptable. If it's close it better be scored the the right way.

If you can justify Golovkin ignoring Lara because he was not well-known enough, then you should understand fighters like Cotto and Canelo ignoring Golovkin for the same reason.
In your mind, GGG only avoided Lara because he was unknown, not because Lara is a talented fighter who could potentially outbox him. On the other hand, you want to believe Golovkin was ONLY avoided out of fear, and not because he was little known.
No, in my mind GGG didn't fight him because Lara was in a different weight class. As long as Lara did all his trash talking from 154 he's irrelevant to the discussion. If Lara moved up to 160 and GGG chose not to fight him that would be a different story. Then GGG would be ducking him.But he didn't. He chose to stay at 154 to fight a murderers row of opponents in Vanes Mayertisian and Yuri Foreman, Jan Zavack, Delvin Rodriguez and Ishe Smith instead. Now he's fighting Terrell Guasha. I don't know enough about him to know if he's as good as his record suggests but I certainly hope so.

GGG ignored Lara because the risk was not equal to the reward. It's no different than the reason for others avoiding GGG.
Its not the same thing. Cotto and Canelo won middleweight title belts and then demanded GGG fight at a catchweight. They came to his division and tried to bend over a table. GGG never went down. Lara never moved up. The circumstances are completely different from the Cotto/Canelo situation.

Lara and GGG are two guys who were ducked by multiple top names. Both guys fought in different divisions. Lara wasn't popular enough to justify GGG risking a weight cut. Lara preferred to waste everyone's time with meaningless matches instead of moving up to a division with an equally avoided but popular champion. Lara moves up to 160 and challenges GGG then GGG can no longer say I am being avoided. He has to take the fight. Lara never pushed the issue. So **** Lara.

That's fine unless of course you consider the following things:

1.GGG likes to fight at least 3 times a year and restarting negotiations with another middleweight would have killed that.

        2. As it is, he only got to fight two times last year anyway because Danny Jacobs dragged his feet in negotiations and forced the fight to be moved from December to mid-March. Dragging out negotiations seems to be a habit for GGG's opponents (Jacobs, Canelo, Eubanks Jr, Froch)

Yeah I gotcha... got to drag the excuses out, and defend my favourite. Add a little personal insult in there. Gotcha

You want to give GGG the benefit of the doubt, but you judge others more harshly for the same conduct.

Gabe Rosado was 4 years ago. It was only his second fight in the US. He was just starting to make a name for himself. For some perspective, that fight was like 10 months prior to Andre "I'll fight GGG at 168 even though I can't make the weight" Ward's last fight at 168. And unlike the ***** talking Lara Rosado actually moved up to fight GGG rather than do his talking from the safety of a lower weight class.

Mayweather and Pacquio are the biggest PPV draws in the sport. Everyone and their mothers were desperately calling for those fights.

Brook was thoroughly explained you to you on multiple occasions you shmuck. Stop pretending it wasn't.
