Comments Thread For: Rigondeaux's Coach Warns: Lomachenko is Not at This P4P Level!

Pedro Diaz, trainer of Guillermo Rigondeaux (17-0, 11 KOs, 1 NC), is laughing at a recent statement made by Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum, who handles Vasyl Lomachenko (9-1, 7 KOs). Following Lomachenko's most recent victory over Miguel Marriaga, Arum compared the Ukrainian boxer to heavyweight legend Muhammad Ali.

I don't know about that, but I could settle for Rigo being above. Lol

Both are fast boxers... It could go either way but Loma has the advantage because of age.

I like Loma, but having him P4P #1 just isn't right to me. The sensationalism around Loma is making it more difficult to just be boxing fans of Loma. Based on what he has done compared to other boxers, there's no way he should be top dawg. I can see him in 5-10 though. The guy is super talented.

Obviously Loma is very talented but it's ridiculous that a guy with only 10 pro fights, who lost 1 of those fights is rated #1 p4p by anyone. Nevertheless compared to Ali. Especially when you consider that he hasn't defeated any other fighter that was even close to being considered a top p4p fighter. His best wins were vs an unproven Russell Jr and a version of walters who hadn't fought in a year. His ranking as a pro has nothing to do with his amateur accomplishments and I think people are taking into consideration that he's a 2 time gold medal winner which has nothing to do with how he's ranked as a pro.

I think having Loma p4p number one is way too high ATM, but he has to be on there somewhere.

He's boxing at a level and in a style we haven't seen since prime Jones, Floyd, that calibre of fighter.

Rigo is the same level. But visually I prefer watching Loma.

This fight is going to be so technical. I'll. Have to watch it 5 to 10 times to even attempt to catch anything. Best year in boxing in at least 25.

Loma might be P4P the best fighter in the world. But it is fair for people to expect him to prove it.

Rigondeaux hasnt faced nearly the type of level Lomachenko has. Rigondeaux doesn't even fight often. He's super talented but I wouldn't put him to win against Hi-tech.

Hi-tech would easily win a rematch with Salido.

Rigo too small. He will be KO'd very easily.
