    On Wednesday morning, the Nevada State Athletic Commission approved the applications submitted by Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor, who both requested the use of 8-ounce gloves in their showdown next Saturday night. The contest takes place at the junior middleweight limit of 154-pounds. Under the Nevada rules, any boxing match taking place above the welterweight limit of 147-pounds would require the use of 10-ounce gloves for both combatants.

          Casuals and MMA fans are gonna be wishing they never asked for 8oz.
          Smaller gloves favour the puncher, which Floyd will be since he will land at a 10-1 ratio against Conor. Floyds punches will hurt Conor that much more, be that much faster & also provide less padding for blocking punches, which Conor will be trying to do. Mayweather TKO 5.
