You can't have one without the other. Canelo ducked GGG but we all knew he was going to have to make his way up to 160 sooner rather than later. He could have made the fight with GGG after the Cotto fight because GGG had become Canelo's mandatory. Canelo chose to push the fight into the future. All of a sudden GGG struggles with Jacobs and Canelo's promoters demand GGG not take a June fight in order to secure the Canelo fight in September. Come on dude. Its clear, Canelo was bidding his time and waiting for GGG to show some sign of age. Its the only plausible explanation.

you keep ignoring that canelos offer was already on the table even before the brook fight, that offer was for a fight at 160 september 2017... ggg didnt accept the offer immediately cuz he had the right to negotiate the terms, but they been negotiating since then..

That said- Canelo is already fighting the biggest and baddest dog in the yard this September.

The Charlo's are the real deal but neither of them would be favored against either Canelo or GGG at 160. Great fights all around though. Glad that they're moving into the 160 picture.

divisions are not based on height thats a dodge. you specifically said the charlos are big fighters melting down to lower weights not sure the exact quote but u said something along lines of they are light heavyweights. that is exactly what canelo did for all those years while fighting at 154-155. 5'9 or not canelo was still killing himself to make those weights to give himself most of a the time a dramatic weight advantage. Personally I think if fighters are willing to cut that much weight so be it I personally dont have a problem with it but you cant bash one fighter for doing it while giving another excuse. Canelo has weighed over he LHW limit on fight night before. Being 5'9 doesnt change anything

Sure, I will say though- I think people have underrated Jacobs a bit. I know he's been hurt and stopped before, but the whole pre-cancer diagnosis thing resonates with me as far as his KO loss goes.

Jacobs is a great fighter and I personally think he could be a nightmare for Canelo.
And he just seemed satisfied to get out of that GGG fight without getting KO'd- it seemed like he was aiming for the moral victory in that match more than the actual win.

Jacobs vs. a Charlo at 160 would be a sight to see as well.

I was one of the only people saying that "if Ggg kos jacobs like his prior opponents then hes the real deal,as Nobody knows how good ggg is since hes never been matched to even Jacobs level (b level,good not exceptional due to flaws),I told EVERYONE that Jacobs had no business being anywhere near 8 to1 underdog & that Id bet on him at THOSE odds since ggg has never faced anyone near his skill even,(lets be honest he hadnt proven that much),but I had Jacobs winning 8 rds 7 w kd,thats why if canelo beats ggg Id rather see him face jacobs than charlo,Jacobs would probably beat Jermall w ease.

The Charlos prolly will be good at 160 BECAUSE they don't gotta boil down further,I just cant understand how people are hyping them up as some killers when they've struggled in their few test more times than not. If people are looking for bandwagons to hitch trailers to it should be Jacobs,hes far more PROVEN than Both Charlos.

Do you know how many fighters there are who don't have huge fanbases? I'll give you an idea. 95% of them probably. Not every fight will be a big money fight. That's boxing and if Canelo beats GG he will have to fight Charlo. GG will fight him. Canelo, I don't know. The fighter would but Dlh imaging that? Uh probably not but we will see. I like Canelo so.

u really think either one would bother fighting a Charlo after their huge ppv fight? Canelo already showed he cares little about alphabet titles...and GGG has already talked about retirement.
