Judging by the number of disparaging threads on here, yes. But why? You say he ducked so and so, which I don't believe he did, but so have other boxers, yet he is reviled beyond belief. It's understandable if you don't like watching him fight. I don't like watching Ward, but the hate for Mayweather borders on the pathological. What has he done to you, personally, that warrants such malice?

Is Mayweather the most hated boxer of all time?

When you talk noise about being TBE, then never fighting a ATG in their prime, it tends to upset folks. Floyd definitely has the skills to have become one of TBE but dared to be truly great. The man has the defense of Whitaker, speed of Leonard, the IQ of Ali/Hopkins, and enough power to keep you honest (see Oscar and Mosely fight, two iron chins). However, all that talk, all those attributes, but his mouth, unfortunately was his greatest weapon.

What is classed as hating is subjective, but Floyd is certainly one of the most divisive fighters, which is probably influenced by his personal life rather than his ability or defensive style.
Also, purists and historians will never accept Floyd's use of his position to dilute boxing with circus and pomp, so it will be interesting to see how history remembers him for his accomplishments.
IMO, Floyd has always been emotionally immature (cheers, Dad!) and doesn't control it well, which often results in him posting online video's without thinking and rubbing people up the wrong way.
Floyd's biggest hater is himself in some respects.

Let me answer the question posed by this thread "Why is Mayweather the most hated fighter ever?" I believe that question is false and based on a false assumption.
Do you realise how hated Liston was going into the first Patterson fight? The guy was a formal criminal who represented the "bad black man"...so much so that the US President, JFK, got involved and personally invoked Patterson to beat Lliston "for America". Now that's hate.
Do you realise how hated Ali was from Liston II all the way to the end of his exile? The man had death threats, physical threats to his family and friends, he lived in a segregated society where even black people hated a black man not wanting to be drafted ... it took years of campaigning for that ****** attitude to change. Now that's hate.
Mayweather isn't even close to that. What he is however, is the most ridiculed fighter in history .People laugh at everything from his dress sense to is lack of intellect to his inability to read or articulate speech. And rightfully so because he puts himself out there to be there bad guy.
What I want to know is, why does it hurt your feelings?

People hate Floyd because he's an ultra defensive minded boxer. The biggest name in boxing is a c_ocky flashy guy who steps into the ring and focus on defence. The average person want to see action-packed fights from the biggest stars in boxing
Mike Tyson was loved and admired even though he was an a-sshole. Nobody cared that Tyson was a rapist or his crazy statements during interviews. Mike Tyson was as famous for his crazy and many time ignorant antics in the ring as he was outside of it but he was still loved because he was a brutal force that came to take your head off.
It all comes down to fighting style. If Floyd was an exciting KO artist people wouldn't have a problem with how he carries himself outside the ring, beating up his baby mother..etc
