His post fight reactions tell me everything I need to know about how he thought about a particular fight. When he was hungry he'd cry and act dramatic. Now he just poses and gives compliments. He's been carrying opponents for a while. He's definitely going to fall on the ropes a few times and let Conor throw flurries. It's a performance for him. They don't see it though lol the only guy that had him working in the last ten years (post Oscar) was Maidana I.

That was the only time I saw Mayweather standing in front of his opponent, taking his shots, when we all know that's not the way he usually fights. You guys can say what you want but I think that Floyd found that fight so easy that he intentionally stood in front of Cotto just to make it more interesting. And I'm not even mentioning the two times that Cotto was on shaky legs and Floyd just let him go.
These guys don't box, so they don't get it. When you have a guy showing weak legs like that, he's ready to go, period. Floyd showed mercy on quite a few guys b/c of risk aversion. That's just his personality.

Mayweather hasn't stopped a fighter in 10 years Ortiz doesn't count kissing him with hands down and he could have got up punk

Not to mention Floyd's brittle hands. He has broken them so many times that he doesn't risk breaking them in a middle of a fight at this point of his career. That's one of the reason he's not knocking out opponents anymore.

I won't buy the fight but I'll definitely go to a sports bar and see it. I know it won't be competitive but Connor and Mayweather is must see tv. I want to hear the trash talk leading up to the fight and who knows Connor may get lucky and land a Sugar Shane Mosley punch on Floyd lol but I wanna see what's going to happen. This is not a fight for hard core boxing fans i view this fight as entertainment only. A exhibition fight even, similar to celebrity boxing.

Particularly Cotto (he was showing weak legs on check hooks) and Marquez (got dropped and was just too small).

I think he'll let Conor throw some shots early to get fans excited then go for the stoppage around the 4th or 5th. I'm not so sure he'll get him out of there quickly though. I could see a towel coming around round 8 or 9. I don't think he gets the KO.
I disagree. I don't think he allows opponents to survive to the end. Its more so that Mayweather's last few opponents have given up on trying to win and are in there strictly to survive after about 7 rounds. Maidana tackled, bit and kicked. Guerrero pushed and mauled. Ortiz quit. Pacquiao threw half as many punches that he normally throws. Marquez stopped throwing punches and focused strictly on not getting stopped. Shane Mosley held on for dear life. De la Hoya pushed and mauled. Cotto pushed and mauled... These are all survival tactics; not really fighting tactics.

floyd fought marquez at a wight 2 pounds over not below! So marquez was not drained dont forget! Also you forgot to mention mayweather was coming off a 22 month layoff another big factor! Manny fought cotto and oscar at 145! Their best weights were 154 at that point in their careers! Mayweather didnt fight canelo at 145 like manny the catchweight king would have done! Mayweather fought him at 152!!! Thats 7 more pounds for canelo not to come in like a dean man walking like oscar did against manny!
