Not if their thoughts gravitate toward a friend has stage 4 cancer, or realizing that there are so many less fortunate and then turning their attention to something more deserving of being sad for. The car was a layered analogy that uses relevance, context, and perspective. There are far worse things to become sad or depressed about than for a very rich fighter with two jobs having one of those jobs coming to an end, when you look at the other end of the spectrum. I used the same approach when the day came that my favorite fighter of all time, Sugar Ray Leonard, had nothing left.

I think he can still compete though, to me it seemed like he fought way too reckless yesterday and didnt give horn any respect. Wanna see him fight atleast 1 more time.
1 more time? get ready for a horn-pac trilogy..

Pacman has no combos or flare about him anymore. He was looking for one big shot to KO Horn.

Pacman should rematch Horn and then retire. He still has enough to hang with some decent boxers but his style doesn't end well when your old.

It didn't make me sad but I was disappointed. Pacquiao didn't need to take this fight. Somehow Arum was able to convince him to go to Australia to take on an unknown fighter with little reward. Arum, Roach, and Pacquiao didn't take into consideration that he could get robbed if he didn't perform well. At the end of the day, Pacquiao did this to himself because he's still not in control of his own career.

It was sad for me to watch, it's like watching Ray Leonard, RJJ, De la Hoya, Tyszu etc getting bumrush by some new younger, hungrier boxer, not that I think Pac did badly but you just know 3/4 years ago Horn gets stopped. And to be made to go to Australia just makes me want to curse Arum.

whatever you want to do, you still can. It might not have the same impact as it would when done younger, but i firmly believe you can get a semblance of your wishes and emotions even when you start later.

Regret combined with curiosity is a horrible thing. But taking action now to satisfy your curiosity will lessen your regret as well.

Of course everything is in perspective. Its nothing like cancer. But, people do get sad when their favorite teams or athletes lose. If not, then why even follow sports? Again, not trying to compare, but I get a little sad when my store is out of my favorite candy LOL. I thnk there's nothing wrong with Pac fans being sad their Fighter didnt look as good as expected.

When Leonard lost his first fight, I was a kid and was sad for a week, ever single day, all day. So yeah, our favorites get to our emotions.

True man. I feel ya. I used to follow Oscar. Was kinda sad to see Pac rip him like he did back in 2008. Cheers, bro.!

Sorry to hear about your friend with cancer. I hope they beat it.
