Danny Jacobs actually started to do well in the fight after he switched to southpaw. So he had to dig deep and adapt. Can Canelo also adapt? Can he box like Jacobs did? I saw him get outboxed by Khan until Canelo caught him. Similarly even though he won a clear decision against Cotto, I still thought that fight shouldn't have been that close. Canelo is good boxer but not a great one. Imo GGG will win the fight by stoppage...

Comments Thread For: Canelo: Golovkin One-Dimensional; I Thought He Lost to Jacobs

He might be right about Golovkin being one dimensional. I don't think Canelo is a versatile fighter either, he's fairly one dimensional himself which is why he was totally lost on what to do v Floyd or Lara.
Also, Golovkin beat Jacobs more convincingly than Canelo "beat" Lara.
Canelo is nothing like Jacobs and Golovkin nothing like Lara, so i think it's irrelevant looking at those fights when picking a winner of this one.

Go look up the polls on this site about who fans thought won. More FANS thought Jacobs beat GGG then though Lara beat Canelo. lol Jacobs increased his fanbase despite officially losing to GGG while Lara gained no new fans and lost fans that were supporting him going into that fight. Lara carries the stain from that fight around his neck bring up a fight with Lara and fans scream i don't want to see that boring coward runner. Bring up Jacobs and everyone wants to see him again and say he beat GGG.

Said it before the Jacobs fight that people were underestimating his size and athleticism. I still believe Jacobs has a field day with Canelo and I mean a complete and utter field day walking him into power shots. It took the best Jacobs could muster to go a full twelve and did so in impressive fashion, that version of Jacobs smashes the living shh out of anyone at 160 with the exception of the man who beat him cleanly.
