White stripe on shorts was legal, below was not. HUBLOT logo or even the black space between that logo and the white stripe was said to be low blow by ref, so why is anyone still debating that crap?

Coming into the 8th round the fight was pretty even. 4-3 for either fighter is within reason. Maybe Kov would have recovered or maybe Ward would have stopped him. We'll never know because of a terrible call to stop it by tony weeks.

hahahah so ok, a lowblow is ok for this ref. Please explain.Originally posted by soul_survivor View PostWho gave him that permission to change the long standing law of boxing on the fly? That's ridiculous. Whats' worse is, the ref himself states "that's low but I'll accept it"...like wtf?
LMAOOO. Dude. That is NOT what he said. He always says something to the effect of, "Right here is good, ANYTHING BELOW THAT IS LOW." He clearly says that on the belt line is good, and below the belt line is low. He even said during the fight, when Kovalev was complaining about a blow, "On the belt line. On the belt line," meaning that it was good because the shots were on the belt line.
I agree that he slurs his words a bit when addressing low blows, but he seemed to clearly say "Right here is good, anything below that is low" for Ward, and for Kov it seems he says something like, "Right here is good, anything 'blat's' low." He slurred, but he certainly didn't say, "Even though that's low." He clearly showed what is good, and what is to be considered low.
Look at some of his other fights. He usually says just about the same thing.
You make it seem like he conspired to have Kovalev's body beat up. That's silly.
