    Adonis Stevenson is the lineal light heavyweight champion, yet not as highly regarded as Andre Ward or Sergey Kovalev. The WBC light heavyweight champion claims he is ready to change that perception. Stevenson told krikya360.com that he wants to fight the winner of the Ward-Kovalev rematch after facing Andrzej Fonfara in his own rematch Saturday night in Montreal.

    Hope a fight between the winner of Ward vs Kovalev can face Stevenson this year. That would be another excellent fight for what has already been an excellent 2017.

          He even got in the ring with Kovalev...Sergey beat a hasty retreat soon as he saw him.

            Either way it's a fight that need to happen. Hopefully duva doesn't back out again.

            Do you think Ward will fight will fight him? I remember he once said Stevenson needs better opposition and that hasn't really changed recently.

              Alvarez is right, he clearly wants nothing to do with his mandatory. What a de****able run of fights for "the lineal champ".

                That's the fight I want to see as well but it can only happen if Ward wins because if kov wins there will be a trilogy.

                  Probably not. Duva was asked about that and she said there is no 3rd fight clause in place and if Kovalev wins, she sees it as 2 wins in a row and has no interest in another fight.

                  She already ***ed up Kovalev's chance to fight Stevenson so I don't know what she'll do with him in the event he should win.

                    not sure if Kovalev/Stevenson would ever happen, but Ward has mentioned fighting Stevenson

                    Stevenson also mentioned that he has no problem coming to the states
