What would be the next big fight for him? The Charlo brothers? I could see a Danny Jacobs fight with Canelo as interesting. I guess a Lemieux fight could be fun but Canelo in all likelihood waxes him the same way Gennady did.

Obviously I'm not overlooking freaking Gennady Golovkin, just playing hypotheticals right now -- IF Canelo was to notch a clear win over Golovkin -- what would be next for him?

In that hypothetical situation,the smartest course of action would be to move towards getting the wbo belt. After that,go for the lemieux fight,and lastly fight Jacobs or the charlo that just moved up to 160.

I think it would be Lemiuex because he's also a GBP fighter and Eric Gomez already said earlier this year that if Canelo beats GGG in September then Lemiuex is next.

i think he already showed his plan early in the year, chavez in may, ggg in september, and cotto in december, but if cotto doesnt happen the wbo wants canelo to fight for their title next, so that will be the second option...

Charlo is gunning for the WBC middleweight title , but I read that its not on the line for Canelo vs. GGG -- Well I could be wrong Charlo would want Canelo regardless of the belt but Jermall brings little to the table right now : he might challenge GGG for the title and if he wins that creates a unification with Canelo down the road.

Ideally I would like a Saunders clash in a unification then a mandatory defense vs. Ryota Murata ( provided he beats N'Dam ) then maybe a voluntary with Jacobs and we then get Charlo...by then Canelo will be P4P #1.
