This is poor from Andre Ward as a champion, and for his loyal supporters he should of shown up! (I am neutral spectator on this fight, originally my prediction was that Kovalev was going to beat Andre Ward again! But with Virgil Hunter releasing the information that Andre Ward was unable to run or implement any roadwork during his training camp? This explained to me why Andre Ward for me looked static and his legs looked weakened throughout the entire fight (His entire body looked soft!)...This was my initial perception of Andre Ward's performances in the aftermath of the first fight!

This is what every fighter privileged enough has to do, at the very least for his own promoters who are putting up a huge guarantee for him. When Mannix talks about Ward's self-entitlement, this is what he means. The fact that he picks and choose when to promote. You cannot blow off things like this cos you don't feel like it.
he showed up for pressers...posed for pictures

he knows what we know...hbo faceoff aint sellin a ppv for him...the people that are gonna buy this fight are already gonna buy it...the people that were gonna watch the faceoff are the same people and theyll still buy it.....this is really insignifigant...its just gives his haters fodder but when you think about it ..it doesnt really matter

He gets paid way above market value but doesn't seem to appreciate it.
i dont think i tried to tie ward skipping out to the article....i simply made a point about ward feeling disrespected....that article is just the tip of a small iceberg

as i mentioned...ward knows what smart people know...this faceoff aint selling any extra ppvs....boxing fans that subscribe to hbo that are gonna buy this fight already are gonna buy this fight...and they arent not going to buy it because there is no face off...he showed up to pressers and posed for pictures.......these so called casuals you think this hbo faceoff is going to sway simply dont exist

          Ward being a dick/diva shocker.

It's a shame really as this fight needs all the promo it can get. It's a great fight obviously, but doesn't appeal to casuals and won't get the numbers it deserves.

I got a DM from Ward a few minutes ago. He said all the Sunday services were busy today and he had a very high amount of people praying to him for guidance.

              again

              this fight....

so hbo has a faceoff....now...the guys that subscribe to hbo for boxing are already buying this fight.....exactly who is this faceoff going to to sway? maybe 100 guys watch it by accident and decide to buy this fight? maybe it hits youtube and another 100 see it and decide to buy it?

this faceoff isnt going to make or break this fight by any stretch....these faceoffs are nice for us diehards ...they provide a little extra something....we dont need any extra something for this fight...its already an easy sell to us

these faceoffs dont sell ppvs...sorry...you guys are under the impression that casuals matter...they dont matter to a fight like this...they add numbers to pac/floyd...or pac and floyd inidvidual fights....they dont matter to a fight like kovalev/ward

that is small minded thinking. This fight is on PPV. I would assume that even though Ward probably has a high guaranteed purse, he still will have an upside number. Why would you not take 45 minutes out of your day to do something that just might help your event succeed? Maybe it will, maybe it wont, but if you have an upside why not try it anyway?

Not doing it makes Ward either ignorant, or a douche. Or both.

maybe it wasnt important to him? maybe he had another priority? family? anything? maybe he wanted to play mind game? who cares?

its not going to sway this fight ...its not going to make it sell extra ppvs...he showed up to his pressers and posed for pictures....im assuming he will participate in a 24/7 most likely if there is one....why are you worried about something that will NOT help generate any new ppv sales that will matter?

What did you expect from a self absorbed douchebag who calls himself ¨son of god¨?

Ward is a ****ing diva and a fake ass ¨good guy¨.

Anyone who thinks Ward is a humble man is a sucker

The guy has an ego the size of the planet.

He's even more arrogant than Floyd, considering he doesn't have even a fraction of Floyd's fame and success to be entitled to that

at times like these I wish he had honored his bull**** after the Kovalev match and just retired the **** outta the sport

Sucks for RNS as he turned out to be a terrible investment that they have and will surely lose money on! Best to cut ties with him anyway as he's done nothing to help promote both of these fights.
Yea hopefully Ward just quits if he's not in for the marketing of the fight like comes with the sport at this level. I'm still kinda up in the air about Ward's intentions cuz it seems like he's done some stuff that is for the haters, but then weird things like this go down.

Ward can be so much bigger than he is, but he's made little to no effort outside the ring, & if you aren't the most mainstream entertaining guy to watch in the ring you need to be doing something outside of it to get people wanting to watch you, & that's a problem for boxing as a whole when you are basically the face of boxing for an entire country.
