all ward has done is take good fights...and some real good ones....take a big challenge and honor a rematch....handle himself well outside of the ring...and still no one gives him any credit....

If this is true Ward is a f#cking dummy. He sucks at promoting his own image. At this caliber of the game your own income is greatly increased if people wanna see you win or lose & generally no one gives a f#ck if Ward is fighting at all. I certainly don't give a f#ck if he wins or loses.

I agree with you that the level of hate Ward catches is weird but he HAS to promote the fight, simple as that. The first fight did poor numbers and he did little promoting.

This is what every fighter privileged enough has to do, at the very least for his own promoters who are putting up a huge guarantee for him. When Mannix talks about Ward's self-entitlement, this is what he means. The fact that he picks and choose when to promote. You cannot blow off things like this cos you don't feel like it.

So Ward skipped out on HBO because Chris Mannix of Yahoo wrote an article about him? I'm a big Ward fan but its becoming apparent that the haters were on to something when they called him egotistical and self-righteous. Either that or he's really sensitive. He gets paid way above market value but doesn't seem to appreciate it.
