Well we get to find out now! Despite giving Canelo a lot of **** for stalling with this fight, I do think with the Right Strategy absolutely he can beat GGG! In fact I favor him by Majority maybe even Controversial Decision

GGG NEEDS a KO PERIOD! Unlike Jacobs, if it is a close fight that goes to the Cards, Canelo WILL get the Win especially in Vegas! I mean somehow a judge scored Canelo vs Mayweather a Draw so the rest of boxing stands no ***ing chance at beating him on the Cards

But Beyond just Bias Cards which will be in his favor, SKILL WISE I think Canelo has the Chin, Skills, Movement, Hand Speed to do enough to out-box GGG for 12. Also Canelo has a excellent Guard and he also has some Wiggle to his Upper Body. Even though he stays in the Pocket he can be very slipper

Should be a interesting match up regardless!

Canelo will not like Golovkin's jab very much. In fact I think it will be the key difference in the fight.

Canelo's problem is that he needs to have his feet planted to throw his shots, he can't throw on the move at all. He can't use his feet to change his range up in the middle of a combination if the other guy changes range on him. He is never going to step around a guy in the middle of a combination. He can't slide with guys.

Pretty clearly demonstrated in his fight with Khan, you notice how Canelo is always reaching with shots when Khan is moving? Its because Canelo plants his feet and throws. Compare it to the way Khan bring his feet with him when he throws punches.

These are the the things that make Canelo cement footed.
This is the things that make Khan punches weak ,when he loaded on Maidana he did some damage.

GGG is planting his feet to punch efective too ,Canelo can Punch going Forword but his punches wont be as efective it work like that with every boxer.Canelo was chaseing fighters with his combos many times.

You haven't been paying attention. He changed this after the Floyd loss. It's the biggest change he's made and it's how he beat Lara.
I know you get all crazy trying to prove to people you're right so go ahead and get in the last word but the post-Floyd Canelo changed a few things about his game and that's one of them.

He is still the same, the best he can do is make a big step and throw one shot. He is always leaving his backfoot behind, never slides it forward after to be on balance to follow up.

Go watch, he throws combinations when you are in front of him. If you are moving, he will either jab, step and reach with a right hand, step and reach with a body shot, step and reach with a left hook.

Nothing changed. His defense got better, his upper body movement got better.

But his feet are still stuck in cement.

Canelito is the one that won't like those.

One thing that he hasn't changed is his inability to stay off the ropes and hold the center of the ring.

This meme that Canelito is an improved fighter is just that...a meme.

Your shots are definitely not as hard when you are sliding with your shots, but you are doing that to stay in range and keep your opponent occupied so if an opportunity is there, you can sit down on the shot and land.

That never happens when you only step in with one shot. Your opponent never gets penalized for moving straight back, because you are never coming after them.

Its why Canelo looks very limited tracking down movers, but looks spectacular with guys that stand in front of him, or coming at him.
