Comments Thread For: Joseph Parker Decisions Razvan Cojanu, But Fails To Impress

Last Saturday night, the sport was treated to one of the best heavyweight fights in recent history when Anthony Joshua stopped Wladimir Klitschko in eleven rounds. One week later we received the polar opposite, as Joseph Parker failed to dispose of an overmatched opponent - with the lackluster contest surprisingly going the full distance.

... Parker doesn't hold enough punching power... that's it.

Parker is the weakest champ by far. Heavyweight contenders must be licking their lips at the thought of facing this guy.

Sparring partners always make boring fights, they know each other too well

However we did learn a few things, namely that Parker's power hasn't carried to the top level, that he has trouble finding his range against a bigger opponent and that his defence up close has glaring holes in it

          Parker is unluckily Maori.

I say that because he's so naturally thick but clearly doesn't pop hard enough for the HW elite. Would be a world killer st Cruiser but doubt he could make it.

He's a good boxer with fast hands. He did not look impressive but he still won this fight easily and was never in any kind of danger. I'm surprised he couldn't hurt Cojanu whatsoever though. Looked more like a sparring session.

Parker gave up a lot of size to this lunker. I didn't think Parker looked as bad as people are saying. He has fast hands and descent movement.

Thats Parkers problem right there. Hes small, doesnt have the power and seems to gas. Yes he moves well and is fast, but that normal for smaller heavyweights.
