So Cojanu is a guy that got KTFO in the 2nd rd aginst Donovan Dennis, got dropped by Paula Mataele and arguably lost to Alvaro Morales and Tex Trismisgistus and Parker couldn't stop him? I'd like to see Parker either rematch Ruiz in the US or go to the UK and fight Whyte or Bellew, all those are interesting fights

You couldn't knock out your sparring partner on two weeks notice? Lmao I guarantee this guy ducks Wilder

This is the plan. Get them in NZ and make it to the final bell. Working to perfection so far.

Cojanu is massive. He towered over Parker & had a huge size advantage that he used to smother Parker. He was the aggressor who had Parker moving around a lot. Parker looked to tire in the later rounds as I gave Cojanu rounds 10 & 11. He pushed Parker around. This was not an easy win for Parker. Cojanu kept his hands up & was constantly walking him down . He surprised me after I watched a few of his fights. I thought he would be easy pickings. He threw the odd jab, hook & right & he tried roughing him up inside. I believe this guy has been in a few big training camps as a sparring partner with good HWs. He has learned some things. Parker didn't blow him out but he got another 12 rounds in the bank. He picked up the win & got out of the fight unscathed. He won those early rounds but he was under constant pressure & Cojanu was able to take some of his hard shots. Parker got a good 12 round workout but he had to work a lot harder than he expected. He has now got an idea what he will be dealing with if he has to fight Tyson Fury. Parker had problems moving Cojanu & it wore him down a little in the later rounds. You know he will lean on him. This should get Cojanu another decent fight. He looks like a guy that could be the perfect opponent for a prospect. I'd be interested to see him fight again. At the end of the day Parker gets paid & he gets his first title defence out of the way. He showed some boxing skills today. He mixed up his punches & did enough to win but it was far from a great performance. He could have stepped it up but he played it safe.

I listened to an interview with Eddie Hearn today and he wants to make that fight so that a Joshua-Whyte rematch could be for unification.

I don't know if Whyte beats Parker. You can't read much into the Cojanu fight imo. He was a short notice replacement with probably more knowledge than anyone on how to fight against Parker.

This would be a great idea if he can pull it off, I'd give Whyte a genuine chance at winning given Parker's performance tonight.

If I was Hearn, I would get Joshua to vacate his belts and Fight Parker next. In the meantime the belts will probably be picked up by some other no hopers and Joshua can become Heavyweight champ multiples time in one year and then finally unifying with Wilder. That's how you build a legacy that will not be forgotten for a long time. Although he may not deserve it I can see people putting him in the same sentence as Ali, Frazier, Foreman..

It's obvious Parker was never a threat to the elite and never will be. Very unimpressive when he "stepped up".

...What. Mike Tyson, at 5'10", is dwarfed by Joseph Parker.

Parker is 6'4" for christ's sake. He is not small. Even Povetkin at 6'2" can hang with and beat anyone in the division.

Parker simply isn't that great. His size is not the issue.
