both Golovkin and Ward have problems

let me give you an example.....

I cannot stand the OBVIOUS biased favoritism expressed to Golovkin by his fanbase..... they have extremely low standards for Golovkin and refuse to hold him accountable for his words/actions

for the rest of my life, I could happily argue that Jacobs beat Golovkin..... and based on the extreme views displayed by Golovkin fans, I likely will just for the hell of it..... as I'm sure will others

in 30 years time, that asterisk will still be there..... the news articles stating that Jacobs won, will still be there..... just like the news articles which state that Kovalev won

that is the very definition of " problems " in boxing terms

I am a Ward fan, a LOUD vocal Ward fan..... and I have no problem admitting that he struggled with Kovalev..... so what the fk is up with Golovkin fans?

wait, I know what it is.....

Ward is REAL, and legitimate..... Kovalev is NOT his career-defining fight..... and Ward's legacy will be very favorable, regardless as to the Kovalev result..... so his fans are not desperate

but, NONE of those things apply to Golovkin.....

there are still question-marks over Golovkin's ability..... Danny Jacobs WAS his career-defining fight, and that fight happened at middleweight, which is supposed to be the division that Golovkin rules supreme..... and his legacy is paper-thin aside from some lesser "achievements"

that is the REAL difference between those fights
I'm sorry this whole post made me laugh. I don't know what to say really. I will just say that I just totally disagree.

People who say this wasn't close must have watched the fight at a sports bar, or at a party, or somewhere you couldn't pay attention. I was as tuned in as possible and thought the fight was close as ****. I had Jacobs by 1 point.

Not *****ing about the decision. In fact giving Golovkin credit for fighting an even fight with such a big dude.

Jacobs lost, deep down he knows this, he's just angling for a rematch.

Honestly, Kovalev vs Ward was a closer fight than GGG vs Jacobs, IMO. Ward/GGG won in my eyes.

I can't think of anything about GGG that suggest he doesn't behave like a real fighter. What can you possibly mean by that I wonder.

I mean, that he should stop talking bollocks

he should stop talking shht about 154 and 168, when he clearly has no intention of fighting there..... he should stop using "the dream" as an excuse to fight poor opposition..... and he should stop referring to other fighters as "businessmen", when he is clearly all about the money

Do you not understand the concept of unifying the division and getting the lineal championship and how important that is history-wise? He's done exactly what he should be doing. He passed a June fight because the Canelo camp forced him to. That's the one that gets the lineal championship and happens to be the biggest payday.
