That AJ Anthony Joshua will smash through everybody past and present. I am a big AJ fan, first seen him box live in 2010 at the ABA finals, followed him since and paid good money for tickets to his fights, but I'm under no illusion that he would simply 'smash through' Tyson Fury for example.

When a guy usually starts the conversation with 'Tyson/Floyd were the best ever'. It's usually a sign to me that it's not going to be a very engaging boxing conversation.

No real stories spring to mind. A few weird ones that popped up lately :

When Brook faced GGG, someone told me that Brook had a great chance because he himself had beat up Ricky Hatton and took his best shots. I'm not really the kind of guy to pull people up, so i just kinda nod and politely suggest he may of ment Matthew Hatton. But no, it was definitely Ricky (the guy Mayweather beat) who Brook beat. And Ricky punches just as hard as GGG apparently.

I was tagged into a post on facebook by a friend the other day. It was a post about the footballer Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and a few guys on my friends list were commenting on it.
Zlatan is a footballer who is known for being outspoken. Anyway it was a fake quote from him about how he would like to fight Mayweather or McGregor instead of them facing eachother. The guys were having a debate and came to the conclusion that Zlatan would beat both of the guys as he has a big height and reach advantage, and is a black belt in taekwondo.

Also know a guy (a boxing fan, who has never seen a MMA fight in his live i'm sure) who thinks McGregor would beat Floyd, Manny and GGG in a boxing match.

The Brook/GGG guy i mentioned earlier also had been calling for a Conor Benn Vs Chris Eubak Jr fight ever since he watched Conor's debut on a Joshua card.
Not only from that 1 round of action did he see enough to think that Benn was ready for the much more experienced Eubank. But he also just assumed that they fought at the same weight, just because their dads did. Even though in reality Benn was fighting at WW.

EDIT : Another 2 i remembered, not earth shattering but still :

One of the guys above told me BJ Flores had a great chance of beating Bellew, as he is a young, hungry fighter with KO power.

One of the guys above also told me how Charles Martin was a great fighter and a massive test for Joshua.

Lol .. yeah, that is dumb!

I heard something almost as dumb as that from a workmate before Tyson Fury challenged Wlad for his world titles. This guy said that Wlad wasn't the real HW champion, and I assumed he was going to tell me that Deontay Wilder was the real champ.

But when I asked him if he was talking about Wilder, he looked blank for a second, then said, "Deontay Wilder? .. Is that his name? ... The American guy who knocked out Lennox Lewis?"

It turned out the name he was looking for was Shannon fucking Briggs!

I was once told that Jacobs needed to throw overhand rights to the body to beat GGG.

MMA is harder than Boxing because it includes everything.

What else has Peter Fury been saying lately? Has he mentioned anything about Tyson's comeback?

Nobody has yet told me they think Connor can beat Floyd, but a few guys have asked me if I think he can do it. And when I tell them NO, McGreggor can't beat Floyd, they always ask me, "Why not?"
