    GGG head-hunting.

Why did Golovkin head hunt so much? What would have happened if he had gone to the body more? Could he have stopped Jacobs?

Yeah, that was interesting. Seemed very cautious of Jacobs power. Credit to Jacobs, he did a lot to neutralize Golovkin from launching his violent assaults along the ropes- which usually begin with some nasty body work.

I wholeheartedly believe he would've stopped Jacobs with body shots. No discredit to Jacobs he executed his gameplan very well and made it an incredibly close fight but I think a Golovkin with a good gameplan would win by TKO.

His corner was terrible. His greatest success came when attacking the body. But they told him to keep jabbing and hunting for a KO.

Because he has low boxing IQ does not adapt on the fly and his corner sucks. Went in with one game plan but Jacobs neutralized it and he just can't think on his feet. He's used to plan A always working on his bum opponents.

He just couldn't adapt, not sure if that was due to Jacobs switching between southpaw.. at one point I was thinking Jacobs was on fighting with one hand, I thought he must have hurt or broke his right hand. GGG showed a lot of negatives enough to get other fighters now thinking he is vulnerable. So maybe we shall see him against better fighters soon.

Jacobs corner was really good gave all the right directions, i think Abel is overrated.

Jacobs runs off his shots on the counter; if Golovkin went to the body, with his style being what it is, Jacobs catches the shot and runs Golovkin onto some bull****.

This is a bad habit I've noticed for a couple years now. His dedicated body work has vanished. There were so many moments where GGG used to always throw in the left hook to the body. He hasn't committed like he used to for a few fights now, though.

They studied Jacobs and know that he is very good at countering body shots, especially the left to the body.

It was a better strategy to work off the jab and avoid going to the body too much where he would have been vulnerable to getting clipped clean with one of Jacobs quick right uppercuts.
