GGG does not have to fight Canelo or Ward or anyone worth a damn..he can stay at 160 and keep fighting B-c class fighters and make his money and that is perfectly fine man.,..but dont expect others to call him great

That article says he is probably the most marketable person in the sport... GGG is a very good boxer but that statement is laughable.

It has Andre Ward on top of Anthony Joshua in terms of marketability. This is the dross forbes puts out now?? for gods sake..... it doesnt matter who is a better boxer, if you're a businessman and you get a choice of whom you're going to use to market the sport to a wider audience or be a face of your brand, you're picking Anthony Joshua every day of the week.

GGG Global Marketing star, my arse.

I really do not get why ya'll are trying to make this man something he is nowhere close to. It is like ya'll live in some imaginary world where GGG is some huge star with this great resume..He is a solid fighter who still lacks anywhere close to a signature win. He has faced 0 p4p fighter..0 hof worthy fighters..has literally won 1 world title in the ring and that was from a guy who had just won a vacant title..I mean who has anyone he has beaten ever beaten?? Yea he has a lot of ko's but who is he knocking out and who have they beaten?

He has almost cleared out a decent middleweight division. Add a Jacobs, Saunders and a Canelo, then his 160 run is in the history books. Simple as. Then he can move up or down how he likes.

He's clearly not a global marketing star, but he's doing what every fighter should do - unify his division and strive to be no.1.

In your world though Larry, you seem to believe having multiple single titles, or fictitious lineal titles, is more important than being the best, the no.1. You're in the minority. I just find it interesting how the usual pro-Floyd, pro-PBC posters on here tend to be the most critical. I can't say I was expecting some sort of objective analysis though.

Cool. So he can leave the canelo fight in the rearview, right?

AJ is still an unproven, unknown quantity, compared to GGG and Ward. He is selling tickets right now, but will he be able to hack it with Klitschko, Fury, Parker, and Wilder?

If he can, then in the longer term, AJ will surely surpass the likes of Ward, GGG and also Canelo, as a "cash cow". He is a HW, after all. But's that's for the future .. maybe.
