Good for you pal, at least you're one step ahead of the usual know-nothing-know-it-all using recycled opinions.
How about pioneering technique? Or literally anything that would allude to you having some insight into the fifties beyond that someone can find in search in less than twenty minutes?
yep, cause you say so
perhaps theres even an obscure sportswriter to support this accolade
Yep....kid was fighting world class guys from 1998-2015
But but but he a coward doe!!!!!
World class from '98-'15? YIKES!
Who Baldomir? Berto? Sharmba at 147? Marquez at 147? Ortiz at 147? Hatton at 147? Guerrero at 147?
Look a bit closer at Floyd's resume. It's what I would call marketing at its best. Who was really a risk or a favorite when Floyd fought them? When they were a risk, Floyd avoided them like the plague by using BS excuses.
Put Floyd in an era with prime SRL, Duran, Hearns,... and fight them multiple times. Put him in an era with prime Oscar, Mosley, Trinidad and fight them multiple times. Fight prime uninjured Manny without being allowed to do the illegal stuff and no home town judges .... Fight some of those who Floyd clearly avoided such as P. Williams, Sergio Martinez, ....
who would you rather pay to watch fight ? floyds slap and grab and run , or the rocks all action non stop never say die style ?? nuff said.
You better go watch the 3 round slug-fests with two guys that cant fight, that's your idea of exciting fights.
Trouble with Floyd was he was too good and made beating the best guys look easy and casuals fans don't like that kinda skillset because they don't understand it like a bunch of lawn mower mechanics seeing F1 for the first time and calling witchcraft.
Its funny how the trainers and fighters all know how good he was but the fans are as dumb as dog sht.
