    I think this is a good number for a Wilder at the top card.

    IMO Wilder is not a boxer people love to watch. Despite being a champion he is raw, lacking skill, but has the one hitter quitter that always makes him able to change the dynamic of a fight at an instant. He was in with another unknown guy.

    frankly, I enjoyed the 1st 2 fights much more than I did the Wilder fight. Lets hope Thurman/Garcia doubles this at a minimum.

      These numbers are fine for Wilder...I've said it dozens of times on this forum. He doesn't have a base. US fans are very skeptical of heavyweights. Just look at his numbers in comparison to the other PBC main events on network tv. All of those other events are right in line with UFC on Fox numbers(since the launch of PBC), whereas Wilder's numbers are consistently lower.

          In a country of 300+ Mio inhabitants thats very poor.Klitschko´s fights in 80 Mio Germany made 10-12 Mio viewers on free tv.

            Yikes. Some HBO shows have done better than that. Terrible ratings for Fox. Wilder needs to fight someone good people are sick of his cherry picks. It's why I didn't watch.

                America's own HW can crack 2 million views but Haye (A brit) got 3 million in the US.. Sad.


                But these numbers are decent.

                    Purely American context for your argument regarding Klitschko-Fury. The US wasn't the primary target audience. Keeping that in mind, 1.7 million viewers isn't that bad, for a fight in Germany which started much earlier for Americans. The overall viewers for Klitschko-Fury including German RTL viewers, and the 500k (PPV) British viewers would be far far higher.

                    Seems like comparing apples to oranges to me.

                      He's the most exciting fighter in the division by far.
