This entire scenario is reminiscent the "will they/won't they" angle TV shows use to get viewers to watch for years to see if two characters get together...except in this story, we all already know they never ever will. Every time I see a headline about Floyd and McGregor all I see is "Slow day in sports! Click here to supplement our poor web traffic!"

boxing fans should be very against this.
at a time where boxing is at an all time low, instead of giving a young future star a chance, floyd rather give some guy from the ufc a shot at becoming great? lol.......

It's friggin floyd
In some sort of hybrid rules where kicks are allowed, and punches from the clinch?
I think that's a 50/50 fight, or maybe even favors Conor.

Let's be fair though, the numbers would be insane. Both guys would be absolutely ****** not to make it happen if they can, from a business perspective of course.
In terms of the fight in a boxing setting, it's ridiculous.
I'll be watching anyway if it happens and so will millions and millions of others. The good thing for both guys is there's actually millions of people out there who are totally uneducated about boxing/UFC and the differences and think McGregor could actually beat Floyd, so it sells huge amounts on that alone, never mind the curious punter buying it too.
I still don't think it happens. As long as he's under contract with UFC, they won't allow it. Unless he isn't actually under contract right now? not sure..Last edited by deathofaclown; 01-06-2017, 02:26 PM.
