It didn't do 1.5...it did 1 million, thus Hopkins supposed total amount was 10 million. Oscar was also by far and away a bigger star than Canelo (who IS the draw) which is why the fight did 1 million, with his previous ppvs coming in a little over 900k.
I don't care about selling out at MSG with low to mid priced tickets vs Jacobs. It's irrelevant when talking about fighting Canelo because that fight will be at Texas stadium or in Vegas where the Mexican fan base is very high, and why will it be there? Because Canelo, again, IS the draw here and I don't give a **** how you try to twist it around like a b1tchy pregnant woman, fact is fact.
See, the difference is that GayLoveKin NEEDS Canelo to make a big payday, not the other way around. Canelo has options that the other side doesn't, canelo also has the time, which the other side doesn't.
