The chance to beat the MW superstar has no value to these clowns. They always have to act like they're giving you favors. Look at how he talks, "my time is valuable, you need me, I'm VIP..." He mentions nothing about the opportunity to beat the guy on top, thus everything else is supposed to be secondary.

..... the reason why I say " probably reasonable " is because they had been negotiating for quite some time, the date was approaching fast, and because Team Eubank did not deny the facts when it was publicly announced that Brook accepted the EXACT SAME DEAL that they were offered

I think it is fair to say that Eubank dropped the ball.....

Just as it is fair to say that Golovkin dropped the ball when it came to requesting Degale instead of the welterweight Kell Brook.

they could have done better, the date is no excuse..... they could have found a better opponent/date, like they just finished doing when the initial Jacobs negotiation first broke down

you find the best opponent, then you find the best date..... NOT the other way around..... unless you are cherry-picking to rack up easy paydays

Eubank needs to learn from this, like Red Foxx said.
DeGale was never offered and his relationship with Hearn is toxic anyway which is why he fights in the US under Haymon's banner

It aint toxic, Matchroom still promotes him (co? A better man will tell you), Degale fights in the UK, Matchroom promotes him. They may not like each other, but money is money.

These morons thought Golovkin had no other options and they could get an absurd deal out of it. It backfired on them. It is 100% completely their fault the Golovkin fight didn't happen.

**** Eubank, all he does is talk and then never back it up. He acts like he's somebody and should get star treatment.

When the fight presented itself to Eubank, he lost his courage. Luckily fighters like Kell Brook and Danny Jacobs had the courage to accept the challenge. Eubank had his shot, he chickened out.

Fans like you are amusing because everything is black and white in your world. No shades of grey, everything is clear cut. What planet do you live on? Life is not as simple as that. If a fight doesn't happen, it doesn't necessarily mean one man is scared to death. There are gradations, there are different perspectives, there are boxes to tick.

Boxers are rarely afraid, they rarely swerve fights or challenges. Real talk. Of course it happens, but it's rare. Especially when there are millions on the table, personal pride at stake.

Did this fight not happen because, pure and simple, Eubank b1tched out? It's a very simplistic view to take. I don't think that's the root cause.

In your world, Eubank-GGG didn't happen because Eubank got scared. Very simple and easy. Brook-GGG happened because 'Brook had the courage to accept the challenge.' So there are no shades of grey, there is no nuance. It's an anti-intellectual viewpoint and its frankly abhorrent. Open your eyes.

There is such a thing as negotiations. Boxing is a business, it's about maximising every payday and getting the maximum mileage out of a career.

My view is that Team Eubank weren't happy with the deal offered by Hearn; they felt they could get a better deal and they had a staring contest with Eddie and he called their bluff. The fact that even HEARN, who was in the centre of the negotiations, doesn't claim Eubank bottled it tells you all you need to know.

You remind me of Dan Rafael – you're clearly incapable of lateral thinking or deep analysis. Like a child, you jump to the first conclusion that makes the most sense to you and you repeat the party line insistently, because you can't comprehend another scenario. Typical keyboard warrior.

I just don't think much of Eubank quite frankly. I've been pounding away at the bas a little to much to remind you of a fat Dan. I'm not a heavyweight. Fast hands, fast legs. It is comical that you broke down my comment of Eubank from a simple statement yet you haven't broken down how Eubank and Golovkin would go. We both know Golovkin would not only beat but destroy Eubank Jr. It is by no means a competitive fight. Neither is Billy Joe Saunders but he has that strap and Gennady wants to unify. Eubank reminds me of Curtis Stevens. A guy that can talk for miles but just doesn't have enough tools in the ring to get the job done. He's blasting out guys that are there to be blasted out. Since this is a Golovkin thread lets compare him to current foe Daniel Jacobs. Danny Jacobs at the start of his KO streak was doing the same thing. The thing is, he got to the point where he had to face the tricky veteran that can avoid KO, Sergio Mora. He scored the stoppage, TWICE. Got passed Quillin. Eubank is trying to erase the BJS loss. When he gets to that Mora level guy, he will stop scoring stoppages. When he gets to Golovkin, Jacobs, Lemieux, Quillen, Charlo or Canelo he will be getting stopped. Matt Korobov decisions him and Andy Lee could very well sleep him too. If he wants Golovkin he should fight Lee on the undercard but that will never happen. He wants to cut the line and go straight to the top. He will fall between Stevens and N Jikam in world level succes IMO.
