Because probably more than 70% of boxing talent pool in ex-Soviet countries doesn't even turn pro. They're not able to. So how some of you guys talk that we take over the boxing if it's less than the half of our talents in pros?
Provodnikov and Kovalev were saying the same thing in their interviews, American promoters are not willing to sign these "Russians" and develop their careers. They know these "robots" (that's how you call us, since the Cold War you got used to this stereotype of emotionless "soviets" who you probably never met, these emigrants in States doesn't count) doesn't bring any money and can't attract fans
Look at Beterbiev, he became Al Haymon's bodyguard. His career won't be going nowhere
And there's a lot of amazing amateur talents here but they don't turn pro because they're not getting good offers from promoters who's not interested
Golovkin, Kovalev, Lomachenko and even Klitschko, they're all got luck at some points of their careers and they weren't supposed to make any noise in the boxing world in the first place
Klitschko developed their careers in Europe, same with Golovkin.
Kovalev was fighting for free for half of his pro career, he said that american promoters were refusing to sign him because "they already had some russian fighters under their wings" so he was thinking about leaving pro boxing
Lomachenko got signed just because of his exceptional amateur record and that's why he got in the position where he could get a good contract and possibility to demand a title shoot from Bob Arum as soon as possible
I just don't like this nationalist agenda
