Best fight that can be made at 160. Jocobs has speed and power alongside with his skills. Too bad that his chin is not better.

Jacobs is good but no one has ever claimed he is elite. G coulda dropped a couple pounds and fought Canelo in the biggest PPV since Floyd retired. Instead he fought Wade and a WW. At least he is fighting a good opponent his own size. Maybe there really is a first time for everything!

The Charlo-Williams match-up was much better and it wasn't ppv. Thurman-Garcia is a thousand times better and will be network tv. Look G is fighting someone that doesn't have a day job, pay $60 to see him fight! Dang. if this is ppv then there really is absolutely no reason to subscribe to HBO besides the movies and tv shows. Still gotta give G credit, only took him 35 years to face a good fighter. At this rate he will be ready for Canelo when he's 70.

I was wrong, I thought that they would pass on this fight because..... 1) they don't need to fight Jacobs..... 2) he is more of a risk than Wade/Brook/etc..... 3) they have refused to take any kind of risk whatsoever with Golovkin's career

I don't mind admitting that I was wrong about this fight, good for Golovkin..... if this is finally a step in the right direction, then great..... but if he continues fighting no-hopers and furnishing us with b,b,b,but stories like they have in the past, then fk them

This is where the respect belongs. Loeffler gave in to the demands & perhaps overpaid for the name on the resume. Team Katch22 hasn't had many options though, just happy us fans get this fight in hopes of establishing a true undisputed MW champ with a solid resume that will now command even more drawing power. Let's see if Canelo sticks to his word & fights winner in Sept '17.

I was wrong also!!! I would of bet at least $100 that this fight wasn't going to happen... The odds were in our favor though so we can't be too mad!
