Sounds like Canelo is dropping the idea of a February fight. Dela Hoya left open the door of kicking the ggg fight from September to December as well.

GGG fan girls don't want to admit it but the truth is Canelo has all the leverage and so many options. A fight with Chavez IMO sells more then one with GGG. Chavez has drawn bigger ratings on HBO then GGG has, has fought and drawn audiences in Vegas (GGG has NEVER fought in Vegas), has headlined and sold more PPVs then GGG. There is a real rivalry that has existed with Canelo for years. His last name carries weight and he's a proven draw in big fights, GGG is still an unknown with his only PPV fight being a flop.

Even if you don't want to admit that this fight sells more then one with GGG it's close it actually doesn't need to sell more for Canelo/Golden Boy to make more money then a fight with GGG because Chavez ain't pricing himself out the fight. According to reports Golden Boy sent an offer to Chavez HALF of what GGG turned down (10m). If Chavez willing to concede weight and not price himself out for a fight, 2 things GGG has been unwilling to do, Golden Boy/Canelo take a bigger piece of the pie home is just GREAT business. And this is for May, if GGG comes to his senses and takes the Golden Boy offer on the table it doesn't effect their fight for Sept.

Says the ****** who is defending GGG turning down a 10m contract to fight Canelo saying he deserves more money when you ain't seeing a dime fool. GGG who IF the fight doesn't fall apart will make only 2-3m to fight Jacobs next and made only 2m the one time he fought on HBO PPV. A 10m contract more then double his career high pay turns it down and you defend it rather then the best fight the best he is holding up the fight over money. I guess GGG lied when he said I'm not Businessman. If all you care about is the best fight the best then got on horn with your boyfriend and tell him no more blow jobs until he steps up and stops with excuses and makes fights people care about.

Canelita - " I am not a mw...I need to build my body (balls)/up to 160 and see how it responds b4 I fight Ggg "....but all of a sudden I can jump to 165 to fight jcc Jr. Just like all experts and insiders say - Canelo classic DUCK!!

                  ... Yes... Excellent...

Therefore Canelo is after a 165 CW fight...

I think GGG should steal a page from GBP's book. Go up and fight Zurdo Ramirez for the WBO Super Middleweight Championship, and do it in Texas, in front of a heavy Mexican crowd! A sombrero and a little Spanish wouldn't hurt either! I think his people are afraid that if he goes to 168, he won't be able to go back to 160 for Canelo. I think it's worth the risk!

There are options for him in the UK ... BJS, now Warren has a new TV deal ... DeGale, maybe Eubank Jnr.

And there is Zurdo Ramirez in the States, after his hand injury heals.

I think the Canelo will happen in Sept next year though. I just don't see any need for GGG to accept the first offer he gets from Oscar, with so much time to negotiate.
