Exactly but people will still talk **** and hate on Ward. When the person everyone should be talking **** to for never taking the fight is Adonis Stevenson.

That and some other related things he's said are indicators he doesn't want a rematch.

Ward has stated two things....he will fight the next fight just like the second half of the first fight, and that negotiations won't be the same as they were the first time. Hmmm somehow talking about a rematch is an indication you don't want a rematch?
Like I said, I'm not looking them up, but they were on here. And there were many who saw it as a smokescreen. Really don't care if you believe it or not, but the articles were on here right after and a week following the fight. Go look it up if it gets you that fired up.

What does it matter? Yes, some mistakes were made. And I'd imagine they'll be addressed for the rematch. If you want those answers, just contact Kov and JDJ personally. I'm comfortable with the next fight. I think Kovalev has learned, and he and JDJ will do a good job of fixing problems he had in the first fight.

After tasting Kovalev's power, John David Jackson just doesn't think the 2004 Olympic gold medalist will want to risk his unblemished professional record against the hard-hitting Kovalev a second time.

this is what Jackson just said.....

              1) I think we can beat Ward the second time around, now that I know what we are up against

              2) all it will take, is better conditioning and more bodywork

              3) Ward will be exactly the same, we will be better.....

..... despite the fact that it will likely be the other way around..... Sergey cannot improve his stamina/style, he can come in with a better gameplan, but he will be much the same fighter and will revert to type as soon as either, he gets tired, Ward settles into a groove.....

..... and Ward has a whole bag of tricks/looks that the Russian hasn't even seen yet..... although I would not recommend it, Kovalev could be facing a southpaw for much of the rematch, and he will not have the luxury of an early KD

I don't think these guys have it together enough to take the fight, and Ward was underdone, he will be much better having those 12 hard rounds under his belt and another 175 camp with Shilstone.

              Ward wins the rematch conclusively,

I don't believe any of that, not a word.

yea, wtf? Kovalev never came close to knocking Ward out.

and increased bodywork brings Ward's hook into play

I wish them the very best of luck, just like I did the first time.

                  exactly!

those guys are dreaming if they think they will be facing the same Andre Ward..... Ward fights a different style every time out..... the things that worked for Ward will work better, the things that troubled Ward won't be so much of an issue..... just like the first fight played out, including the knockdown

there is a case for both sides, but the fans who think that Ward cannot do anything different in the rematch are fkn dreaming, and way off the mark..... that is the biggest mistake that I have heard from either side.

I admit that it is dumb to sleep on Kovalev, but it is waaaaay dumber to sleep on Ward.

I smell more tears after the rematch.

#1: Why wasn't Sergey better prepared for in-fighting?

#2: Sergey seems to fade in the later rounds. Is that the result of conditioning?

#3: What were your instructions to Sergey when it was clear that Ward was making a comeback in the 2nd half of the fight?

yea, Jackson just came up with a cunning gameplan to have his fighter in shape next time LMAO

not only did I pick how that fight would play out PERFECTLY, I also stated on numerous occasions that how Kovalev/Jackson handled Ward's adjustments would be a key to victory/defeat..... fighting Ward gets HARDER as the bout unfolds, not EASIER LMAO.....

and now Ward has more advantages than he did the first time around

now he is not underdone, now he can have 1 more specialist 175 camp with Shilstone, and now he knows exactly what Kovalev brings to the table.....
