    cut yourself off...
wasn't he offered this fight earlier this year and turned it down? and who tells him to get fat and sloppy just because there is no fight scheduled, he's undisciplined and went out like a coward. just look at how he chases loma to the corner to hug him while loma laughs at him, **** was disgusting to watch.

This is just like Dawson. Never can tell him anything, he knows it all apparently. Then Dawson says no problem doing 168, promptly gets owned by Ward. Too ****** to tell Ward to come up to 175. No of course not. He's Dawson, knower of all that is known and unknown, the mighty Chad Dawson. Well, we see how that worked out now didn't we?

Same thing here with Walters. Oh yeah, only HE can fight Loma after a year out the ring. Geez, I knew this was bogus from the signing. Only chance he had was his power, and it turns out he couldn't even land that. Sometimes, fighter management needs to step in and say, no we will not do this your way.
I don't care if he had 3 tune ups the result would have been similar. Walters is flat footed

I was predicting Walters getting into the body for at least half the fight, even if Loma took the decision. Total disappointment. Walters was so flat even Loma's slick tricks weren't entertaining (like when he shoots a wild right intentional walk/ weird feint) Walters just stood there. What a bummer.

I agree wholeheartedly with RJJ saying that the excuse is off the books. If you say something isn't an issue, you can say it is an issue after you get dominated. It doesn't matter if it's true or not. You lose credibility and there is no point in taking your word. I said the same thing about Ward. He said he didn't need better tune-ups for Kov and that ring rust wasn't an issue, so I don't want to hear that as an excuse for the fight being close, controversial, and/or he losing. I'm drawing a parallel here. I'm not trying to get into a Ward-Kov discussion...

Hahaha.... that's funny, wonder if he followed him all the way to the dressing room to take care of him

I used to respect Jones analysis but over the last 2, almost 3 years he has just become the excuse maker for black boxers. This **** has gotten ridiculous.

I can't remember which Pac/Bradley fight he was but he was calling something completely different to what everyone was watching.

Edit: actually, may have been Bradley v Provo.

Anyway, my point is, Jones has on a pair of glasses through which he seems destined to continuously make excuses for black fighters, even in things which they are inexcusable. I'm not sure whats happened , since he used to be a very balanced analyst for a long time.

may be as his ring career goes beyond rock bottom, he needs people to tune in and thinks he can play the race card

They didn't blackball him before this... He sat out a year looking for a big fight pay day and he secured one.

Im not going to blackball Walters. Dude has had many entertaining fights before this one. As frustrating as seeing him quit was, boxers have done it before, and will do it again. What Roberto Duran did was just as bad. I've seen plenty of fighters get cut and quit immediately too.

C'mon, shortly after, as soon as Loma saw he was moving in for a hug he gave him one. Initially he's just happy because he just got confirmation he won the fight.

Bit like Martinez went wild and up onto the ropes after that KO shot of Williams instead of dropping to his knees and expressing immediate concern (that came after the initial elation, just like Loma's cuddle).
