No, it's not. I agree. Nor do I think Ward standing at the end of Kovalev's range was wise. But, it made a hell of a fight when they were doing it. As a fight fan, I want to see them take those chances. If they each fight a smart fight (the type of fight I would want to see them fight as a fan of each guy) it will be pretty damn boring.

Ward never fought with the approach to make fights exciting or more watchable by fans.

His game is to make it ugly with loads of clinching and holding. His best skill by far is to make opponent frustrated by preventing any flow.

Unfortunatelly that makes very hard to watch.

He could have pushed for the KO after the knockdown when Ward was clearly hurt and looked very worried, but he stayed calm and boxed thinking the decision was his (which it should have been).

Next time, hurt him and go hunting for the knockout.

Regarding the rest, that's subjective. His style(s) can be a thing of beauty for someone who appreciates (and can spot) the subtleties, the sneaky punches. It's a hell of a lot more than clinching.
Those who only see "clinching" either aren't really watching his fights or they don't understand the science. It's the same with those who call Floyd's defensive style "running", or Kovalev's style "brawling". Just because a large number of people label something a certain way, doesn't mean that they're correct or that they understand it.

I think this is not impossible cuz we saw it in the first fight. Very good quality in both fighters. Working hard and show us a perfect fight.

Ward will drill him if he thinks he can get a knockout. He was tying Ward on the inside but if he doesn't do that he will get beat even ore

This rematch can't come soon enough. But I'd wager Ward needs time to recover, he took a bit of a trouncing.

Okay then. Just shows your bias even more, again. This is why no one takes Ward nuthuggers seriously. But the good thing is I've seen a lot of Ward fans who are intelligent and real dudes saying they do have to be honest and admit Ward lost. Those guys definitely deserve a lot of respect.

So if you're a Ward fan and believe he won then you're not honest? You do realize there are plenty of folks (fighters, media, promoters, etc) who believe Ward won. So are all those folks dishonest Ward fans? Or could it be that the fight was that competitive and resulted in a debatable decision?

I am not going into what people find exciting - that's subjective as u said. I can appreciate Ward's skills but they are very overated IMO.

I was commeting on your wishes for the 2nd fight and how should they fight to make it more exciting. Well, you know Ward is not going with that approach.

P.S. one cannot compare floyd and andre. Floyd is on another level(s). He is by far more versatile and skillful fighter that doesn't depend so heavly on one thing.

He has the right idea. At least, he is now manning up. From what I gather, he is acknowledging that he knew he didn't do quite enough to justify winning that fight; Especially in light of the fact of having badly hurting Andre and dropping him to the canvas in the second round.

This was definitely a learning experience for Sergey as his championship inexperienced showed. He obviously, underestimated the seasoned professional Andre Ward's courage and tenacity. He thought if he would have landed another hard clean shot, that he would have gotten him out of there but boy was he wrong; As S.O.G. simply adapted to his style.

Hopefully, he goes for broke next time by cutting off the ring and allowing his hands to move more freely as opposed to landing only single punches at a time because I predicted he would win by TKO stoppage before the fight.
